Have you tried composing a poem? What motivates you in writing it? They said that there is an artist behind each poetry. They are the people endowed with talents and abilities to see the beauty of everything around them. They are the persons capable of revealing to us what is the true beauty that lies in each one of us and the environment.Do you think it is possible for every people to be a poet?

Hi there Annie Rose! I have written lots of poems. Some were published while some were not. I believe that everyone can be a poet. Poetry is expressing ones thought or feelings and everyone can do that. No rules applied especially if you're writing for expression therefore, anyone can be a poet.

Yes, I believe in that. Everyone can write poems and I know there is an artist to each one of us. Thanks for the response.

I have written poems quite often. My past and emotions inspire me to write more, I can't just write a poem for the sake of writing a poem. I see beauty within everything around me and that there is something more this world, but to write for the sake of writing I can't do it. I do think it is possible for everyone to be a poet if they put their hearts into it.

I think that every person can be a poet, in fact, I think that most people have, even though they wouldn't want you to read what they wrote. The deeper question is, is it possible for every person to be a good poet? And the answer to that is no. Even some people who are published in magazines I read, I say to myself, "what were they on when they wrote this, and where can I get some?"

My book Cat-House Sonnets, 100 poems celebrating cats, has been published. I write sonnets. I have to disagree. There is some knowledge needed for writing poetry. It's not just a list of pretty words evoking a feeling. That's prose. Poetry follows some rules and conventions. If you read some of the great poets, you will see this. A lot depends on word choice, images and such. True beauty does lie in every one of us, but not everyone can be a poet. It is possible to have poetic thoughts and express some things poetically. But true poetry is an art and a skill. I think it can be learned, but not everything pretty that flows off your pen is poetry.
