While most of the economy is getting worse, one area is booming thanks to Obama.

We still are hearing daily about reports of job layoffs, poor sales, sliding stock market, home foreclosures, etc. But one area of our economy is booming since the election of Obama - gun sales. Even though gun shop owners were against his election - they are the ones who are now making record breaking sales. Here are a couple of links to stories about this - http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/27598947/ http://www.kktv.com/home/headlines/34119559.html Are these people really overreacting or are the right to be concerned? According to one site, they are right to be concerned; here is a link to that site - http://www.morebans.org/

No, the 49% of the voters who voted against him are not ALL out to kill him. These are people who are taking action now to preserve their "right to bear arms" before he gets in office and may restrict that right.

A "speakeasy" was a place (back during our Prohibition days) where people went to drink (illegally at that time), dance, and have fun. It is an example that even stupid laws can't keep people from having fun and ignoring the "stupid" law until it is repealed.

A speakeasy is place that Al capone may have profited from right? Thanks for the recap. There are sure many examples of how people are stopped from their fun and many more how people live on. Seems to be about the money to large degree. Great Avator.

I am quite sure that Al Capone and many others profitted greatly from "speakeasies". But, for most people these were places to go an have fun and "escape" from day to day hardships.

It's possible we could lose our right to bear arms and protect ourselves but everyday we continue to kill unborn babies. Where is the logic in that? We can't protect them before they are born and we can't protect them after they arrive. Can't wait to see where we are in four years......

I really don't know what to tell you. When abortion was 100% illegal, they still happened in backrooms and by women trying to cause the abortion (miscarriage) themselves. After babies are born, they still may be abused and killed (and, if they are unwanted in the first place they are more likely for this to happen to them). The only way to prevent any of that from happening is to lock women up and keep them under 24 hr surveillance as soon as they hit puberty until they reach menopause; AND, take the children away from them to be raised by robots (becasue both men and women of all ages can be abusers). I really do not see that happening anytime in the near future AND I would not want to see that ever happen.
