do you like your work? maybe you should consider looking for another one. coz if you are bored with your work then chances are your full potential is not being maximized and you do not have any growth opportunities. you can still take the chance to learn new things, new skills or start a hobby. If you are allowed to read books or newspapers, it is also good to be updated with current events and other stuffs. It can help you have more things to talk about with your friends or more things to post here in mylot.

yes i do like my work and i love the people around, maybe it is just that i am needing new ideas and new challenges in my work. i am have ventured into skills enhancing activities. two months back i enrolled in driving school and i am planning to look for another short courses before the year ends.
i am also thinking that this feeling might be due to hormonal changes. hahahaha

Be glad that you have a job to be bored at. I know so many people that have been layed off and can not find a job now.They would love to be bored and getting paid.

Hi roselynm 1023! Poor thing! I used to work full time in a cookie shop. I used to like the job though the hours were pretty bad. I can understand how you feel i think most people will do feel bored after a while of doing the same job everyday. It's normal. I guess you should be smart to find your interest and try not to think about the time especially when you're working. Try to find something to do at your workplace which can make you always feel excited. Hope that will help you.

posting here in mylot makes me feel ok. i do it most of the time when i felt that i too bored at work. i also do it at home while waiting for my bf to go online. now i am thinking of other things that i can do to and be productive. this morning i made a choice i will not allow myself to be bored.

Hey girl, do you always feel that way towards work? If yes, i guess you should try looking for another job... one that would be more challenging and that suits your strengths. You could be working and feel a sense of fulfillment at the same time. You could be happy, it's a matter of finding the right job. :)
But if this "bored" feeling is just fleeting... try browsing the net ;-) there are lots of interesting stuff out there. my favorite sites - eonline (for its fashion police..hehe), crimelibrary (if i feel like reading the lives of serial killers/murderers/psychopaths)... :D get the drift. just think of something that interests you. ;-)

thanks for that good advice. we have one thing in common we have 23 as the last two digits of our login name. this "boredome feeling" does not appear regularly it is just as you said fleeting feeling. i think it happens when i am not doing much of work.
well i guess i should look into another object of attention like other websites that will interest me.
i know this feeling will subside sooner or later.

It's so nice of your company that they didn't block mylot site, my company blocks a lot of sites. How about facebook? Do you have a facebook account? There are many applications that you can play around. How about playing some simple flash games?
When I'm bored at work, I'll search for articles to read, as I said, my company has blocked many sites, so I can't go to any entertainment sites, reading is one of the ways to past my boring time at work.

I wish I were able to post on mylot when I'm bored at work. My employer has the site blocked. I usually take books or magazines to work for those slow times. When it's really slow, I'll research or write articles. Crossword puzzles and sudoku pass the time, too. Have fun!

Be thankful you have a job. If that doesn't help, look for a new one, but don't expect the new job to be any better than the old.

Hello, you should learn how to love your job so you won't get bored, and in times that you got idle time or you do not have anythin' to do, surf the net, search anything about your interest. It is good that you subscribed to mylot, because it allows you to interact with anyone from around the globe. And, it's some kind of interesting to do.

my friend, in this world were we live in. there are many ways to do to avoid bored in life,like joining some religious group, be an athletic some of your times..but honestly,i feel to join in some religious group where i found out my true friends and specially my self.have a nice day...godspeed
