Sinking island's nationals seek new home

Newly sworn-in Maldives president vows to buy land to relocate entire nation.Climate change-threatened Indian Ocean islands could sink under rising sea levels. Maldives is considering land in Sri Lanka, India and Australia.Island was badly hit by tsunami of 2004, with more than 100 people dead or missing.
The climate has really affected these people. If you absolutely had to relocate, where would you go?

Hello ersmommy. I also heard the news about the sinking of the island country, Maldives due to the global warming that has caused this to happen. I am so sorry for the people of the island. It is nice and considerate of the president in this country to think of buying some land from other countries for his people to have somewhere safe for them to locate and live in.
Well, if I had to relocate, I would choose Australia. That is a nice place to live in. Good day, friend.

It is awful when we hear how much damage is going on because of the climate change. Before you know it we will have snow in summer and summer in winter. I do hope these people will be able to find a new home. It is never easy picking up and leaving a home you always known to live in another unknown land. Where would I go..Hmm, Ireland or Scotland. Ireland for sure.. I would love to be able to vacation there one day.

Goodness me? I have some difficulty wrapping my head around this. This is a very real problem for these people. Wow! Odd to think of it.
