I was just wanting to get to know some of the mylotters better. Curious, how many kids do you have? Girls, Boys, Twins, Triplettes? Whatever it may be share with me. How did you come up with names for them? Me I have 6 kids- 5 boys and 1 girl...3 are step children, but I see them as mine. I don't have no special names for my kids, but I know some people have interesting stories of where they got names from. Please share

Hello messageme, I have one 4 year old son. He first name call it a calling but just came to me maybe from where I read him Bible stories long before he was born. His second name is from his grandfathers. His third middle name is from his father and his grandfather. His name is long but each name has a meaning behind it and I hope in time he does not hate me for so many letters in the spelling.

I have 2 grown children, one male and one female. When our son was born, my husband did not want him named after any of our relatives, so I picked the name of an Irish singer from the newspaper. I had not heard the name "Kevin" before. Now, it seems that nearly every man about the age of my son - and his dog - are named Kevin. The name we chose for our daughter is just the feminized version of my husband's middle name. It is an old name, but I still meet a few younger women with that name. Thus, that was a good choice, not too common nor too uncommon.

I always planned on three and got my three, but I never thought I would end up with 6 (3 step kids). I do love my family though. And I wouldn't trade it. It's just really hard to give all the attention they need.

I have 1 girl and will have another baby coming soon next year. The name of my eldest is the combination of the names of my own mother and my mother in law. For my 2nd baby.. my husband plans to combine both our names :) have a nice day.

That's how my name came about. My mom conbined my name and my dad's name. Darell and marilyn, which made Darilyn. I hate my name, but it is neat on how she came up with it.

I have 6 kiddos - all boys and they are all mine. We have so many nicknames it is hard to keep track of them all: we have bugs, peeg, Powelly, Bambino, TJ, codeman, and bubba to name a few!

WOW all boys, maybe it's a good thing I'm not going to keep trying. :) I would probably end up with all boys too. I have my step daughter thats enough.I just hate the fact that she looks so much like her mom. Only two of the kids have nicknames here. Pokey and butt. It fits them so well. Thanks for sharing. How old are your kids?

I had a boy aged 13 years called Ryan and a boy aged 18 months called Leo. Their nicknames are Roman and Leo the Lion. My ex-husband and I couldn't agree on a name and so we picked a name we could both stand. I had Teo suggested for my second so I said how about Leo. I would love to have a daughter one day.

I also salute you for having that many kids. You have the patience I wish I had. I have two boys, ages 3 and 5. My oldest is named Memphis. My hubby is a car fanatic and his fav. movie was Gone in 60 Seconds. The main character in the movie is named Memphis. My youngest is named Ryder. I had a huge crush on Rider Strong when I was younger, so I replaced the I with a Y. Its funny tho because their last name is Mount, everyone gets a kick out of the name "Ryder Mount!"...didnt think about that when I chose his name. LOL

I love those names...wish I would of thought of those when I named my kids. I always wanted a girl so I always had girls names picked out, then they came out as boys so I went with ones I just thought of....Landon and Levi and Kyle, But I didn't pick Kyle's name his dad did. Oh and I don't always have so much patience. There's days I just want to pull my hair out!

I have one girl. I wanted a common name for her and every fifth female in this town is named "Amanda" so that's the name I went with. Look at it this way: I will always see at least 3 A's on her report card! LOL!!! Happy MyLotting!
