Yea I have the DVD/VCR combo. I still watch some of my videos but some of them are kind of old and the video is kind of messed up so I usually have to try to set the tracking. I actually prefer watching dvds though because they're clearer. Most of the videos that I have are of Indian movies and all of the videos that I have don't have subtitles which dvds have.

We still have a vcr and use it. I record shows on tv if I'm busy and can't watch them in the evening and then I watch them later the next day while the kids are busy. My mom collected a lot of disney movies for us on vhs so we watch those too. I hope that they don't quit making them or else I'll have to change all our vhs movies into dvd's.

We do. Unfortunately, ever since CD and DVD players became the rage, we kind of "forgot" about using the VCR. Just a couple of months ago, I found the three tapes that contain footages of my kids when they were still babies and toddlers. I tried to clean them up as well as I could but the oldest VHS tape won't play anymore :(
I'm planning to bring the tapes to a computer shop soon to have them converted into digital files. Just have to save up first for the pricey service. It's worth every penny anyway to preserve those kinds of memories.
But the tons of VHS tapes we have of Disney movies and other good films, we simply bought DVD copies of them because it is kind of tiring to be rewinding each of the tapes every time you want to see them :)

I also have a VCR, and I don't think I could bear the thought of not having it anymore and having to lose the ability to see my old movies like Bambi and 101 Dalmatians.
We all grew up by the time we really started to collect DVDs, so the kiddier movies and tapes are on VHS, but I still like to look at the little kid stuff once in a while for the memories and the flashback.

Yes, I actually own a VCR and DVD combo set. It is pretty cool. I have 100 of tapes for the VCR and I still watch them regularly. All the tapes are in pretty good condition also. The only way I can record something I am watching is through VCR. 10 years from now, I still see myself recording with a VCR.

Until I get all of my VHS movies converted to DVD or downloaded on my PC I will keep and use my VCR.

i also still have my vcr player at home, i also agree, i have so many different vhs movies it would seem a waste just to throw them away, many of the movies bring back happy memories of when i was younger and i will gladly keep them for as long as i can.
