This is a tip I just found searching the web..Have you ever done this? Did you know about this? Cleaning Up Shattered Glass Shards First, pick up the large pieces of glass. Then wet several pieces of newspaper and place over the small bits and pieces. Carefully lift and the glass will cling to it. Then sweep up any remaining debris.

I have never tried this tip, I normally get a wide piece of tape and use it to make sure that I get all of the little pieces.. I go barefoot around the house and if there is a sliver of glass, I step on it.. That is a great tip if you don't have the tape on hand, I normally do since I used to sell on ebay and I had to use it for the packing, so it has came in handy for uses other than the packing..

Thank U, I never thought of the tape. I do have more newspaper than tape. I subscribe to our local paper. I should recycle but I just throw them in the trash.

Keep some of them as newspaper is better than paper towels for cleaning your windows.. They also don't leave as much lint and newspapers get the streaks off the glass a lot better..

Often, if the shards are really tiny -- you know; the ones that get into your feet and just won't come out -- a slice of bread will pick them up with no problem. Just remember not to eat it!

that is a very useful piece of information you have given.when someone accidently breaks a glass in my house,we are all worried about some small pieces remaining which may hurt kids.(as they are always frolicking round without slippers.

I came to the right tips here. I have drunkard people smashing my glasses very often in my pub and what I did was to sweep it with a broom and a dustpan. I still find small pieces left which I bare with my hands to pick the leftover. Your tips do the trick. I should apply it.

Before sweeping the debris take a lump of wheat flour like and press on the floor. The very tiny fragments that are left on the floor will stick to the wheat flour. After that you can sweep the remaining debris.
