whats up with mylots weird interests tags??

Hahahaha. I will have to be upfront and admit that I am guilty of setting up one or two myself! It is just a way to spice things up a little bit I guess and after you interact with friends for a long time, you do start to find similar senses of humour, so to us these topics make perfect sense! I think the number of people that you see actually saying yes to these interests and adding them then participating in them is a testament to them being a bit of fun. Sure it's an odd niche, but life is too serious anyways so what the heck!

Hi bunnybon7, Yes, there are interst on Mylot and I have added some that I'm interested, there are few mylotters trying to get crowned for been a idiot, they are just having fun. There are many interests on mylot if you want to add, I don't often. Tamara

bunny,i used to think these interests as wierd initially but as time passed on i really started loving these interests.life is too serious,so i like to be silly at times.

I too always say no thanks. Some people just like to open these new interests and then get their friends to join that interest group. I imagine they just do it for fun but I have never been inclined to do that.

Those are not default Mylot interests. I guess Mylotters have added them over the years...or months. :) You can add some funny ones too. Cheers and happy mylotting

I have encountered a few weird ones myself here at mylot and some give me a nice giggle or two and others make me think what was they thinking when they made it..I guess it never hurts to have a little bit of fun.

Well there definitely are some "weird and/or unusual" interests and tags that I have seen but I am not really sure there is any value to them. Certainly these interests and tags might add some "flavour" to the available interests and discussions for some of the myLot members but I have some doubts personally. By not adding some of these "unique" interests to my list, it is true to say that I might miss out on reading some different discussions. Therefore I will never know whether or not these topics are worthy of a response from me. However I believe "our interests" should reflect those things that we are truly interested in. I believe that these tags are coming from the members rather than being ones that myLot include as "standard". For some members it is possibly a lot of fun and good luck to those who choose to go down that path. Obviously though I am picking up some of the discussions as I am seeing the interests come up. Those discussions would come through "today's top" or maybe "hot" I suspect but will take ntoe next time that I see one of them listed.

mylot members adding interests that are stupid if you ask me.. i mean i have added interest but it would be about actual things like a music band or a movie but there is one that is "..." WHAT IS THAT?!?!? i think people are just seeing how long it takes mylot to take them down or something lol

Some of those interests are added my my Lot members. Sometimes, we just get silly and do that. If you respond to a discussion in one of those interests, and it is not already on your list, it just asks if you would like to put it on your list of interests. And, no, my lot probably doesn't really think you would like to join in some of the silly things that members do, but I guess they just figure they will ask you anyway.*L*
