Although Christmas isn't our official holiday, but it is no doubt it becomes much more popular these years. Besides, my child is growing up and he shall learn more about some important holidays. So we will buy a small Christmas tree next week and then set it up. How about you?

I set my christmas tree up about two days ago and just finished getting all of the ornaments put on it. I am always glad when I get it up for everyone to enjoy and it really seems to make my home more inviting and warm. However I always dread having to take it down and putting all the ornaments carefully away for next year. This year though I have not had the time to decorate as much as I usually would so I just made sure I got the tree done and will see if I can get anything else up.

I do not celebrate Christmas, because I am not a Christian. However, it's also a recognized public holiday here, we do make use of this holiday to go for vacation. Sometimes, I will go hangout with my friends during Christmas eve in the pub to have fun. We enjoy the fire work ignited after the Christmas eve countdown too. I seldom decorate the house for Christmas, but I do so for Chinese New Year.

Actually, I celebrate it too, but in a different way. I should said that I do not celebrate it the Christian way, instead. I am sorry for the confusing statement, hope you don't mind about it. I am happy to have a rest on the Christmas holiday. I could enjoy until mid night on the eve. The supermarket will have special offer to make the celebration merrier too!

Hi youless, thanks a lot for giving me another best response I am overjoyed The Christmas is approaching, but I think it's not going to be as happening as past years, due to the global economy recessions. A lot of people lost their job, and everyone seems like implementing a thriftier life. Therefore, mostly that celebration are fewer. But, I still wish you a very happy Chrismas and a Happy New Year!

I guess a tree is only really relevant if you are celebrating the festival.
There is no need to put one up if you are not. Cos no one is able to appreciate it anyways.
I used to help mum set up the tree cos she celebrates christmas.
For me, I am not one to celebrate christmas. Not likely I will put up a tree.

Christmas doesn't have the same meaning or excitement to the Wolf any more my friend, it's all that money, preparation and fuss for just two days, it's all over so quickly. We still haven't got our tree up and I leave it to mum to be honest, if it was down to me I wouldn't bother full stop. It's all money money money the real true meaning of Christmas has been lost due to commercialization and spoilt with money. Although it's different if you have children as the magic is still there.

I don't plan on setting up a christmas tree... since my apartment is too small... and i have some furnitures coming tomorrow... so there is really no space for one... good thing my daughter can still see a medium size christmas tree when she is at my in-laws house... and a big christmas tree when we are at my parents house... that like compensates for the lack of christmas decor in our apartment...

Christmas! I used to feel so festive when I was a kid and started having decorations around my house. But now I don't do that anymore. I don't think I will set up a Christmas tree this year. Maybe sometime in the future I would change my mind.

Hello youless. There is one fake Christmas in the office next door to mine. It is there all the year round. It was bought last Christmas when all the students celebrated it in the classroom. It still looks new and good.
Yes, it is a good way to teach our kids something about this interesting festival so that they get to know something about it when they are still young. Merry Christmas

we were going to wait until this weekend to get a Christmas tree. But last week when we went to church, a guy came to us and told us he cut an extra tree and wanted to know if we wanted it. So we accepted. We got the tree last Sunday night. a couple of days ago, i made some cinnamon smelling ornaments to put on the tree. it sure makes the house smell nice. this weekend i'm going to buy some lights, garland, tinsel, christmas balls and an angel for the top of the tree.

We aren't getting a Christmas tree because the apartment is too small, and the cat would probably just climb it. My mother and step-dad got a real one, and set it up last weekend. They will take it down on new year's day and burn it in the wood fire place.

We already have ours up... i put them up last week sometime.
we aren't doing a big one this year and i really don't feel like it anyway lol
but we have two little ones 4ft or something i think in each corner on the living room and we put up other stuff. so it's still like christmas and i actually kinda of think it looks cool having TWO smaller christmas trees then having one big one lol but thats just me. the trees are different too. one lights up and is sliver while the other one doesn't and it looks like a normal christmas tree.
