My hubby went home yesterday earlier than i expected...he complained about a back pain ..specifically on his lower part..its like a shooting pain and its intolerable..he cant even drive properly and thank God he reached home safely yesterday..i attended to him immediately and rub some liniment and massage it ..and it relieves him somehow and i decided to give him an antacid as a first aid and observe if it will get worse then he had to go to the hospital for test and everything..luckily the pain stopped as if nothing happens to him ...what about you guys have you ever experienced this ? any first aid or you consulted a doctor immediately ..??

i had sever back pains years ago. it was not tolerable either..at first i took pain relievers then it was gone.. but it happened again after few moths, and that time i had to be rushed to the hospital.. i was diagnosed with infected gall bladder.well, after a month of the last attack, i was operated and they took out my gall bladder.

What this person is talking about is gallstones and they are the most painful thing in the world aside from having kids lol If he has gallstones and it goes undiagnosed he will continue to have the pain. I had my gallbladder removed 5 years ago and still get pains about once a month eventhough I shouldn't get them anymore. Tell him to see a doctor to make sure it is nothing that could hurt him in the long run.

I have ever experienced it. Firstly I massaged my back apin by using a kind of special oil for massage which got it from my sister's husband. Initially I felt well, but after a few times i felt pain again if i got down my back lower. Finally I went to a masseur to massage my back and then I was given a powder ingredient then wraped it with band to my back. Thanks God then i felt better.

I have been bothered by my back pain for sometime now. There are days that the pain is so severe that i take pain relievers to ease the pain. I have seen the doctor concerning this and he said that it was just my muscles aching and even swelling. It is on the upper portion of my back on the right side. Sometimes when my back is swollen my right shoulder's movement is affected. Rubbing liniment on it can also help in lessening the pain. But there are times that the pain is so intolerable that i get irritated easily.

You'd better go to see the doctor and ask for his advice. There is no pain without reasons. Early find out the reason is important lest we'll be regret someday later. Good luck.

Hello vanities. I am so sorry to hear that your hubby had a back pain yesterday. Well, I used to have the same experience, but it is usually when I sit too long before the computer and also when the weather is too cold. A good rest from the computer and sleep for enough hours will let me feel good again on the back. So I know that my case comes from sitting too long and cold weather. It is so nice of you to help give him some massage on the back, which is helpful to him. Take care and good day, vanities.

My back pain has always bee my problem for sometime now, but mine is in the upper back,on my shoulder blade. I have seen the doctor about it and i was told that it is just my muscles aching. There are days that the pain is so severe that i take pain relievers to ease the pain. Often times my upper right back is swollen and i can't move my shoulder as i used to. I also rub liniment on it and it helps lessen the pain.

constant using of your muscle in the shoulder blade is the cause of the pain ..i experienced that also ..i only let my hubby massage that part and rub some liniment then the following morning it will be gone...

I live wth back and leg pain every day. Even though the pain seems to have gone away, I would recommend that he see a doctor. It may be that he pulled a muscle, or just irritated his back, but it could be more serious. I waited a very long time before seeing a doctor, and ended up having two surgeries and many other problems that I will probably have to live with the rest of my life.

i agree with you on that...prevention is better or early detection is much more better than to get it more worse..

Yes, it happens a lot. When you're doing a fast movement, a nerve or a muscle can get strained and it causes pain. If you rub that cream in, or have something hot on, it relieves the pain. But I have not heard about taking an antiacid ... Taking an Advil or a Tylenol, yes. I never go to the doctor, unless it takes more than 3-4 days.

I have an inflammed nerve in my back that acts up once in a while...it happened when I helped my niece move from a third floor apartment and there was no elevator....so after about 50 trips up and down the stairs carrying boxes my back kind of gave out....I didn't go to the doctor as I kinda knew what it was....now I have to just be careful what I do or it acts up again....I feel that when I put heat on it I get relief!

Dear friend, I used have back pains and when I consulted with a doctor it is know this was due to doing working or sitting on a chair that is not perfect I changed the chair and also started to jog most of the days and also did exercise. Within a week my pain was gone. I do a regular exercise may be a simple one could eliminate back pains for a normal person.

It almost sounds like your husbands siatic nerve was bothering him. I have had mine go out on me several times and it is very painful and unbareable not much one can do but wait it out and take a antiflamitory for the pain. It's good he went to the doctor's to have it checked and you catered to him when you did. I hope he is feeling better soon.

Well, i had sever back pains few years ago and it was really bad.. i took pain relievers and muscle pain ointments to ease the agony somehow and it worked.. giving first aid really helps that's why we should know the basics in case of emergency..

Hi!I did experienced an excruciating lower back pain,I can't move that much.Since my husband was not around I asked my daughter to rub it with liniment but the pain wont go away.I went to a doctor and found out it was a first degree slip disc.I had a therapy for one year and a half. That slip disc triggered when we do improper posture of sitting, standing, lifting, working, walking and even sleeping. That experienced made me aware of all those proper posture,I hope it wont happened again.
