Well I woke up to 40 degrees on Sunday morning. That was soon to change drastically as the weather man predicted. We had rain, then freezing rain, then sleet, then ice, then at night the snow, high winds, and artic temps followed. This shot was taken just from my front deck as the storm hit with the high winds and snow. A few minutes after this shot I could not see across the street due to the blowing snow etc. All told I got maybe 3 inches in my area where further North there was nearly a foot. A couple major Interstate highways were closed due to visibility being zero and the roads covered with ice and snow. Woke up Monday to a temperature of 8 below zero F and windy conditions causing a windchill of 40 below zero. It has warmed up to -4F and windchill of -30F now. Bitterly cold and nasty outside here. What's your weather like? Ever been in a blizzard before? HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Wow! That's enough to have icicles growing from your nose! But no, no blizzards for us, down here in NC we don't get very much snow, but when we do it's sure purdy! Right now, eh, I don't know what the temperature is like, it kind of cloudy out though!

Yeah my mustache gets all iced up when I'm out getting the snow off the driveway, patio, deck, and sidewalks. Not a lot of fun. I've even had my glasses freeze to the bridge of my nose in the past in weather like this. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

-4 below temp and -40 below wind chill, now that is brrrr cold. We just had a little cold front come in and it is cloudy, drizzling and in the 60's, that is above freezing not below. hahaha I have been in some hard snows but I wouldn't think any of them were blizzards. Keep warm and stay healthy.

Just a tad cold is all really. We may get to ZERO for a high today. It's even worse in the Winnepeg Canada area. Glad it's just a TAD cold here and not like Winnipeg. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~

Brrrrr, I think that is heading our way..We have had rain all weekend and the highs were 50, but today, though it isn't cold now, the temps are suppose to fall and we are looking at ice and snow coming this evening..

And you're talking like 40 degrees is warm, right? Brrrr..... It's about that here, and raining and I'm freezing! There is snow just a bit higher up that we are, actually, but not down here. Never been in a blizzard, don't want to be, this is about as cold as I ever want to deal with! Hope you thaw out soon!

I think it's supposed to be in the 50s here today, but we are expected to get some colder weather soon. Nothing like what you are I'm sure, since I'm in Alabama. And I've never been in a blizzard. The one time Ga had one, we were living in another state. You stay safe in all that snow and ice!

Yep, this is definitely Minnesota weather. I did not even have a coat on yesterday morning because it was pretty nice out. Then later in the afternoon it was bitter cold out. The biggest blizzard I was in was the Halloween Blizzard of 1991 here in MN.

Well Grandpa Bob I'm glad that I'm where I'm at right now. I have been in that kind of weather and I don't think I want to be again. One year in Nebraska where I'm for it got down to 60 below back in 1990. There was little snow but very cold. I'v seen a few blizzards back then too. I'm in South Carolina now and we had a beautiful day. Tomorrow it's expected to get into the 70s

It was cold out by us in duluth but not that cold im pretty sure as we were out and it was cold but not so cold you stayed home. But the wind was awful its burned your face. We were getting some huge gusts that even after it stopped snowing would still cause blizard conditions.

I haven't been in a blizzard before. And I'm such a wimp when it comes to the cold that I hope I NEVER have to be in one. There wouldn't be enough blankets in the world to keep me warm! LOL!

Been in so many blizzards, I cannot remember. I live in Manitoba and every January it is the same thing, blizzards, snow piling up in front of our house, minus 40 (either celcius or f) with wind chill, snow blowing in front of you and you cannot see in front of you. Usually we do not get the real cold weather until January, but on Sunday, it was minus 40 with the wind chill and when I got up on Monday, there was at least a couple of extra inches on our sidewalk, and it was very heavy. And it was still cold, but at least the wind had stopped.

Hello Grandpa Bob. So the weather is not good, but too cold in your place with the freezing rain, sleet, ice and snow. Well, We had fine weather yesterday and a few days before yesterday with sunshine, but today it is cloudy. The weather forecast says that cold air from the northwest is on the way to us south and the temperature will have an obvious fall by seven to nine degrees centigrade due to the cold air. I hope the cold air won't stay long. I miss warm winter weather. Stay warm, Grandpa Bob.

There were times that i wanted to experience snow but reading from your discussions makes me scared of so much cold. I live in a tropical country, right now the weather is good but there is a low pressure area looming i think on the east side of our country. Though it is still the same during the day, i mean hot, the weather becomes chilly on early mornings. except of course in our summer capital which is Baguio, they say that it is very cold there now. It is a city on a mountain range, many tourists visit there, maybe you have heard of it.

I hear you, we experience that kind of cold here sometimes in central Ontario. Usually we get a blizzard or snow storm at least once a month. Right now though we are getting a mild spell and all the excessive snow that has accumulated is starting to melt. I can see the driveway paving again for the first time in several weeks. I understand in western Canada they are experiencing the same kind of weather as you. I hate winter already and it has not even officially started according to the calendar for a few days yet. At least the ski hills should be busy over the Christmas school break. They have all been open for a few weeks now.

I heard about the ice storm and wondered how many of my myLot friends were affected. Apparently, it was worse than the one in Montreal a few years back.

Yes...and I don't mind an old fashioned blizzard but can't stand these below zero temps....If I could just stay inside it wouldn't be bad. But leaving to go to work is a pain. I left yesterday morning to go to my granddaughters Sunday School program it was 36.....by the time I got home it was 3 and I had a very hard time keeping the car on the road for the strong winds. It was nasty!

Hi GRANDPA BOB, That picture look very pretty but wouldn't want to be outside there, I haven't been in a blizzard and hope never will, most time I hate windy weather let alone a blizzard, we don't really get weather like that here where I am but it has been known for that kind of weather up north of England while I livde in the South. Hey Grandpa Bob! I heard that you were having some really nasty weather out there in your area. Our weather just has been plain bizarre! The temps were up to 61 degrees today and it is still 59 degrees now! It is supposed to drop to 40 degrees and snow tomorrow! I just don't have a clue what's going on! It had gotten really cold like it's supposed to be this time of year and now it's warm! But, I think the bad weather is on it's way! And yes I have seen many blizzards in my time! Some really nasty ones! It's been awhile though! I remember quite a few years ago when we had almost 2 feet of snow here and we were paralyzed! They didn't know where to dump all the snow or where to put it!
