My husbands thinks so. He would never miss him on tv, if he knows that Bill Gates is going to be on tv, he rearranges his schdule, so that he can't miss that show. Does anybody else believe that he is the God of technology?!!

Bill Gates is one of the Geniuses out there in the world of Technology but I certainly don't think that he's the God of technology... though he created Windows the world's largest selling and most used OS but you must be knowing that the first Company which developed an OS with GUI (Graphical User Interface) was Xerox Corporation. You may say that he's a good marketeer of his products!

I agree with Techie anuj, he is a man with more brains to pull of a business betterthan all of us. well and he didn't allow anyone else to rise beyond him too. I read this article that in today's day its not worht his time to bend and pick up a $10,000 bill if he ever sees it lying on the road. SO no wonder people do admire him. I would like you to read through this article which is really funny way to calculate his earnings and his rise over the years here is some facts from the same article "You might buy a plane ticket on a Boeing 747 for $1200 at full-fare coach. In Bill-bills, Mr. Gates could buy six 747s (Not tickets, the planes themselves). Two for him, two for Melinda and two for young Jennifer Katherine." http://www.templetons.com/brad/billg.html

The term God of Technology is a little overboard to say the least, but he certainly made a phenomenal impact on society. Prior to the introduction of Windows, the only people using a computer were the ones capable of using DOS. Now a computer is owned by the majority of people and many people buy them as presents for their children. The cost of computers has fallen as a result of Bill Gates and his company, and such companies as Intel and many hardware manufacturers have flourished for the same reason. I cannot think of anyone who has had such an impact on society and our lifestyle, yet he still gets criticised and called.

I hope you don't think I'm critizing Bill Gates. I just thought it's funny how my husband thinks he is a God of technology. I have nothing against him. I think he's a great guy and thanks to him, everybody can have a computer today for less money than it used to be. He's a genius.

No, I did not make the mistake of thinking that you were criticising him. I was referring to the many thousands of people who have campaigned against him. When Bill Gates was successful in the early years he seemed to be treated as a national hero because he was the epitome of the American Dream of a man making his own future. Of course once his empire reached a certain level he was viewed with envy and fear. The 2 greatest attributes for power are money and computers, and Bill Gates does not lack either. As you will know they tried hard to destroy Microsoft in the courts and accused him of operating a monopoly. They seem to forget the vast income that arrives in the United States every day from sales of Windows and Microsoft Office from around the globe.

He certainly seems to be the God of technology but i notice that when his products ome out, they usually have pretty bad problems with them. I don't rush to get his products anymore because of the flaws. He sure knows how to make a lot of money. :-)

some facts about billgates 1.Bill Gates earns US$250 every SECOND, that's about US$20 Million a DAY and US$7.8 Billion a YEAR! 2.If he drops a thousand dollars, he won't even bother to pick it up bcoz the 4 seconds he picks it, he would've already earned it back. 3.The US national debt is about 5.62 trillion, if Bill Gates were to pay the debt by himself; he will finish it in less then 10 years. 4.He can donate US$15 to everyone on earth but still be left with US$5 Million for his pocket money. 5.Michael Jordan is the highest paid athlete in US. If he doesn't drink and eat, and keeps up his annual income i.e. US$30 Million, he'll have to wait for 277 years to become as rich as Bill Gates is now. 6.If Bill Gates was a country, he would be the 37th richest country on earth. 7.If you change all of Bill Gate's money to US$1 notes, you can make a road from the earth to moon, 14 times back and forth.! But you have to make that road non-stop for 1400 years, and use a total of 713 BOEING 747 planes to transport all the money. 8.Bill Gates is 47. If we assume that he will live for another 35 years, he has to spend US$6.78 Million per day to finish all his money before he goes to heaven. Last but not the least: If Microsoft Windows' users can claim US$1 for every time their computers hang because of Microsoft Windows, Bill Gates will be bankrupt in 3 years!!!

A very novel selection of bizarre facts, and I must say that I really love the last comment about Windows computers hanging, but are you sure that it would take as long as 3 years?

yes i think he is the god of technlogy i really admire him here is some information that i got on him William Henry Gates III (born October 28, 1955 in Seattle, Washington) is an American entrepreneur and the co-founder, chairman, former chief software architect, and former CEO of Microsoft, the world's largest software company. Forbes magazine's list of The World's Billionaires has ranked him as the richest person on earth for the last thirteen consecutive years, with a current net worth of approximately $53 billion. When family wealth is considered, his family ranks second behind the Walton family.[3][4]Gates is one of the best-known entrepreneurs of the personal computer revolution. Although he is widely respected by people who see his wealth as a product of intelligence and foresight,[5][6] his business tactics have often been criticized as unethical or anti-competitive, and have, in some instances, been ruled as such in court.[7][8] Since amassing his fortune, Gates has pursued a number of philanthropic endeavors, donating large amounts of money to various charitable organizations and scientific research programs through the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, established in 2000. Gates married Melinda French of Dallas, Texas on January 1, 1994. They have three children: Jennifer Katharine Gates (1996), Rory John Gates (1999) and Phoebe Adele Gates (2002). Bill Gates' house is one of the most expensive houses in the world, and is a modern 21st century earth-sheltered home in the side of a hill overlooking Lake Washington in Medina, Washington. According to King County public records, as of 2006, the total assessed value of the property (land and house) is $125 million, and the annual property tax is just under $1 million. Also among Gates' private acquisitions is the Codex Leicester, a collection of writings by Leonardo da Vinci which Gates bought for USD $30.8 million at an auction in 1994.[41]Gates's e-mail address has been widely publicized, and he received as many as 4,000,000 e-mails per day in 2004, most of which were spam. He has almost an entire department devoted to filtering out junk emails.[42] Gates says that most of this junk mail "offers to help[him] get out of debt or get rich quick", which "would be funny if it weren't so irritating".[43]

i dont think he is the god of technology. but he damn smart. i think there are more intelligent brilliant minds than his out there but they just are not so famous because they dont have the access to the competitive world of technology, or perhaps they belong to those who just work for bill gates, the "small but terrible" , "secret ingredient" of bill gates' successes in technolgy.

He is the person who takes the initiative, and make available computer to almost every house. due to him only, such advancement in technology comes. I do never want to miss the statement, by him. Inspite of opposition from the maker of other operating system, my liking is still for windows. If you consider him as god of technology then what you say about bugs in windows.

I think God of technology wouldnt be an appropiate word.He is a person who gave the world a new vision. He really has the biggest hand in improving technology. If i say the one who made the computer is the god of technology since there was no computer what he wd have made.Charles babbage was the god of technology i think since he influenced the computer to its modern form.
