I rarely change handbags(purses) but mine felt heavy. So I dumped it out on my bed last night and realised that I had returned to having a Mommy Bag. Now a Mommy bag is always bulging and it is large. One of those bags that you see women frantically rummaging through whilst they look for keys etc. then they give a big sigh of relief and say, "I knew that they were in here somewhere'. My bag contained: Candy Wipes to clean sticky dirty hands Bottle of Anti Histamine with several plastic spoons wraped in clear wrap Band aids Gentian violet (in case of cuts) Kleenex Keys - office and home Hair clips two small stuffed bears 4 diapers and a small pack of wipes 2 small packets of dried fruit 1 bottle of water Toilet tissue - only one roll I tried to think positively about this and realised that I had improved from first time around. When my children were small my bag also contained a straw and a swiss army knife. I had read an article on it and was prepared to administer a tracheoctomy if needed. We lived so far awy from a hospital or doctor that I was always prepared.LOL What does your bag contain? Come on, I was truthful so tell me.

I'm not nearly as prepared as you are, and I do always have small kids in tow. My purse is small, it hardly holds my wallet. I want a slightly larger one, but it seems when I have a big one, it's always empty. So my purse currently contains my wallet, my keys, and a bunch of old reciepts that need to be thrown away. That's about it. When I have the little ones with me I carry the diaper bag as well, but I don't pack it with much of anything. 3 diapers per child, a box of wipes, formula, and usually 2 bottles. I rarely need anything more than that.

You are so organized. I don't have a diaper bag for the twins so EVERYTHING is in my bag.

Mine has my digital camera, I love taking pictures, and two small leather bound books to write down quick notes. I have my wallet, and some hand sanitizer a million pens to write with, a container of dried handiwipes that when you get them wet they swell up the size of a wash cloth. Some tea and cocoa I have carry those around in little packets because you never know when you might be stuck in the ER and not have anything to drink. I have my journal that I write in when I am waiting for someone that I have taken to the DR. And I have my pill case that I carry all the major pain relievers in. And I have my pliers that have every tool you could ever want plus another little thing that has more tools in it. I have some sanitary napkins and some packaged wet wipes ya never know when your gonna be stuck in a public bathroom with no toilet paper. Well I think that's it my purse is rather big so I can stick all kinds of things in it while I'm out so I don't have to use plastic shopping bags. Oh and I have my cell phone an keys in that mess as well lol.

I don't even carry a purse. Everything I need for my kids is in the car usually. I have a package of diapers and wipes in the car along with some snacks. A box of plastic spoons in the glove box. Toys galore. All in the car. I will sometimes grab a diaper bad, but that is usually only when my daughter goes with her dad.

when mine were small they used cloth nappies so I had to carry a special bag for the pooey ones too. Yuk. I had two in 14 months and every day they were five dozen nappies on the line flapping away. At least I asm not back to that. Thank yo for responding - blessings

I always wanted to be hands-free.I used my pockets for keys and money. No cell -phones when I was a teenager. Once married+small kids, I was going everywhere with a Mommy Bag as you say. I always had 2 diapers, a bottle, wet wipes, and something for them to eat. Big and heavy. Now , I have a small purse and try to keep it as clean as I can and as little as possible inside. Only the necesarry - keys , money(and credit cards-of course), phone numbers, my cell phone. car's insurance and driver licence,a bottle of Advil and all the coupons I have. But all arranged in category. So, in any moment if it happens to spill the content of my purse, I won't have trouble and not waist time to put everything back.
