Apart from what has been expounded in the above responses you should also know that 1) Present day spammers do not use their own email addresses to spam other people. They use email addresses of people like us because if there are many reports are made it is our email addresses that will be blocked. So far two of my email addresses are being used by spammers. I know because I received emails supposedly from me to the same email address. I have been blocked by a site which I have never visited before. 2) Opening a spam email can cause more spam to be sent. The email contains a code which sends a feedback to the sender. Your email is then marked as 'gullible' or 'potential'. all the best, rosdimy

hello there... well, from my knowledge about this spam thing, spam is sending unwanted news or rumors which involve politics, a well-known person or celebrity or even a normal person... they (Spammers) send this messages to everyone they know even to the whole world by sending mass message sending... in china, they send like thousands and millions of this messages every month... sometimes it's even worst, they might send unwanted pictures and viruses!!! so be careful when you receive on this type of messages... how to prevent them? well, it's so easy... if you get a title which is weird and you don't know the sender, simply ignore it or delete it and flag the message as spam so that your email service provider will put the messages into junk or spam box when they send those messages again...
