Do you sleep next to anyone every night?

I have never really slept next to anyone, and I couldn't imagine it as being quite the same. Doesn't everyone need to be able to wake up in the morning, looking his or her worst, to rub out their eye crust and pick their nose and flick it away and wipe the dried drool from their chin and wipe it on the bed sheet? I mean, I though everyone used the first few minutes of being awake to be a disgusting pig. I guess that when you get married or become a couple living together, you do not really have much privacy anyway, so why would anyone expect to have much of it at all? Maybe I'm just going to be single forever, because I don't know if I could compromise this. Maybe we would have to sleep in separate rooms, but on Valentine's day or special nights I'm sure my lucky man would love to visit my room.. then he better go back to his so I can have my privacy.

seeing as I'm quite happy to even have a poo in front of the mister, I think he can deal with the eyegoo. I won't empty my mooncup in front of him though. I think he'd find that too much.

you might not want to know. its a re-usable silicon menstrual cup. you put it inside, it collects the blood, and a couple of times a day you take it out and tip out the contents, then put it back. it's healthier, cheaper and cleaner than disposable girly stuff. but yeah, it's not fair on the poor chap to see the contents being tipped down the toilet.

No one ever said a woman MUST (SLEEP) with her husband! When I was married, I couldn't stand SLEEPING with my man because after the loving was over and it was time to SLEEP, he would hold me and I would get sooooooo HOT, (sweaty hot, not sexy hot) and start to get itchy and fidgety, also when he was ready to sleep, I usually wasn't! There was always something good on TV to watch or I wanted to read a good book or something. So we decided to have separate bedrooms, that way after we made love, he could get some good sleep without me bothering him and I could go do what ever I wanted and later get some good sleep in my own room. My sister has been happily married for over 30 years and they too have separate bedrooms!!

I am glad I am not the only one. My partner and I are very happy and we sleep in separate rooms. We find that neither of us can sleep well sharing a bed. I have been told that sharing a bed is part of being in love but I am not so sure of that. I love my partner very much and sleeping in a separate room has never interfered with that at all.

You are so funny. Don't worry, when you fall in love, it changes everything. You won't even notice those disgusting habits. It will just feel good to go to bed and wake up next to the one you love.

Honey, if you make your man sleep in another room just because you don't want him to see you being human in the morning, he's not going to think he's so lucky! *LOL*

*LOL* I snore when I am extremely tired or sick. My kids have been known to get up and come into my room and shake me awake, telling me that they can hear me in their rooms. Of course I never believed them, until I woke myself up one night.*L*

I happily sleep cuddled up next to my husband every night. I wouldn't change it for the world. Waking up to him each morning is special to me. I love seeing his face the first thing each day.

there is no privacy in marriage, i love my wife and she loves me, i have my room and she has hers but she prefers to sleep with me at night. You can't avoid that, your husband or wife may request or make it mandatory to sleep with you but whether you like it or not you just have to accept. Therefore, I do sleep with my wife daily whether valentine or not. cheers!

My dogs sleep with me and they don't care what I look like in the mornings or if I drool or snore in my sleep. Been married many times. I prefer my dogs and cat.

LOL eye crust and boogers... I don't sleep next to anyone. my dog sleeps with me every time. He's the only one that ever sleeps next to me. my little cuddle buddy. i think it would take a lot of getting use to to sleep with another person EVERY time. I've slept next to people of course and i've had people sleep over my house and share my bed... I am usually kind of comfortable depending on the person. if i am completely comfortable with them though i don't think it would be a problem. after all... they are going to look like crap just as much as i do in the morning. but when you love someone and your with them and living together... i don't think it matters. you just accept everything... like my brother, he takes a poop while his wife is in the shower sometimes lol... IN THE SAME BATHROOM. so i think its all about your comfortable level with someone... if you can take a poop in front of them.. why can't you wake up next to them looking like crap too? lol at least that's how i think it is... it's how i see it from looking at the people in my family and there relationships

I have shared my bed with my partner and occasional boyfriends. I even shared it with a girlfriend once who was sleeping over but I prefer to sleep alone. Both my partner and I are ill and we do not sleep well at the best of times but we find sharing a bed just too hard. My partner has a very bad back and needs the space of the whole bed to ease the pain. With my illness I also have trouble sleeping so I have my own bed. We do spend time together in bed for fun and then separate for sleeping. We have slept together in the times when we just had the one bed but it is not good. I wonder how other people manage to do it for years.

hmmm nope i don't sleep to anyone every night. but i do sleep with my bolster every night. =) and yes i'm guilty of wiping my dried drool on my bed sheet. but drooling has been happening less these days and i'd like to keep it that way. though i don't sleep next to anyone every night, i have been to camps and do bunk in with some other people. Till now, i haven't had any bad experience or seen anyone doing disgusting or so.

I am a married woman and I wake up every morning to my husband. We both neither do not wake up as disgusting pigs. Such as we don't pick or noses or anything like that. We say good morning and then we get out of bed and go to the restroom and I suppose we do the disgusting things in there if anything. I guess it all just depends on what type of person you are and how you wake up in the morning.

I sleep next to my girlfriend basically every night but it hasn't always been that way. It's a comforting feeling to have someone that you love sleeping next to you and I love sleeping with her each night. Waking up next to her isn't bad at all because she is so naturally beautiful and I never see any flaws in her. She's completely beautiful even when she has just woken up and I just hope that I'm the same to her.

I have been sleeping with a company till a few months back..it would be either my mom,or granny or sister and very oftenly my dad and it would be really difficult for them to sleep with me because my hands and legs would always hit them during my sleep and then i decided to move to my own room and then i started to sleep alone which is not disturbing anyone and i also feel it happy that way...its really good...happy mylotting..

You certainly paint a picture! You're right we are disgusting in the morning. But there is a certain benefit to sleeping with someone and have them snuggled up to you all night pressing their warm body against yours. I don't know how she does it, but my girlfriend manages to look radiant in the morning with her tousled red hair. It's worth a trip to the bathroom to get the disgusting things out of the way.

The only person I sleep next to is my fiance. It's not every night, but I can say that it's most nights. He's the only person I sleep next to anymore.

I've been in a long-term relationship (almost five years) and slept next to that someone for the last three and a half years. I didn't mind him seeing me at my worst, neither did he. What I now dislike is the emptiness in my bed, waking up alone and not having him there to cuddle with. I tried sleeping next to my new bf and, as much as the sleeping is concerned, I miss my old one. I am simply too accustomed to his body-shape and his sleeping habits. I never seen it as not having privacy, but, being the first person I ever slept in the same bed with, I remember finding it difficult at first. Even sharing the blanket was unappealing to me.
