What do you think the best and effective way to loose weight?

I was wondering, since my friend having problem loosing wight, she tries so many things: diet, pills, lotion, etc, you name it, nothing works, and she did all that exactly how the instruction says. atleast that's what she said. So from your experience, which is the best way and the most effective way to loose weight?

the most effective is jogging and having a balanced diet; and of course having a good sleep is most important of all. always remember newer sleep immediately after meals and do no have a heavy dinner.

Like anything in life there are no shortcuts when it comes to weight loss aside from hard work and a good diet. The only short cuts I can think of are surgery and starving yourself, and I would not really recommend either. The most fundamental part of losing weight is burning more calories than you are taking in. This is how top athletes are able to eat 5,000 calories a day and still be ridicolously ripped and toned. I would recommend your friend to get a plan in place and stick to it. With sustained weight loss the key is going to be getting a good plan and sticking to it, she could consult a fitness instructor or her doctor and I am sure they would be more than happy to draw up a routine and a diet plan that would aid her in her weight loss efforts. I agree there is no easy way to lose weight. The best thing I can suggest to your friend is to make sure she eats a balanced diet. I follow the USDA food pyramid as to what to eat and how many servings. Serving size is also important. The size of your fist is one serving of meat...or about one cup. Eat lots of fruits and vegetables. In order to lose weight you also have to exercise. Start off slow and build up your muscles. I like walking and also do strength training exercises to tighten up my lose muscles. I hope this helps you friend.

I think the best way to lose weight would be to eat the correct foods, and eat less than you normally do. And keeping the correct weight is a lifelong job, not done in a day. As they say, we don't gain our weight in one day or one week, and it won't come off that easily, either. But, if we want to keep it off, we have to keep doing what we did when we lost the weight. Also, you need to exercise, as well. Walking is a great exercise, if you are unable to do anything else. But it needs to be a brisk walk.
