Well... I wouldn't go around with any more than $100, but that's just me. Actually make that between $50-$100. You never know what could happen or whats gonna come up and you got the cash right there.

It's always nice to be prepared. If you were left stranded and need a cab than you have the money. It's always better to have friends and family close to you, and a phone in case of an emergency. But it's still good to have a little bit, just in case. I'm always prepared for anything! I have an inhaler in my car, under my mattress, in my medicine cabinet, and one on my being. I also make sure I always have my phone, and that it's fully charged. Than, I will always make sure I have at least 5 bucks with me. You never know what can happen today!

well, I think it is important. There was this one time, I went out with my friends, and we went some place that we usually don't go to. When we got there we found so many rare collectibles, they bought a lot. i bought nothing, I was happy because i got to save some money from not buying anything, but when i was on my way home, o lost my wallet somewhere. I didn't even have enough money to call home. So i guess, there are times that you really have to have some money in your pocket.

I always carry my purse when ever i go outside even if its with my family or friends because we cannot tell what our next second holds for us. And it has become a habit that i cannot go out without my purse because everytime i go out without my purse i feel like i am not carrying a part of me or i have missed something important. Anyway we should always carry our purse whenever we go out because we never know.

Yeah~~at least I think so. Wherever you go, you should have some money in your pocket in case you'll meet some unexpected things. I always keep some money in my pocket, because it makes me feel confident. I don't have to worry about penniless. If I see something interesting, I can buy it immediately without having to wait for next time only because I have no money in pocket.

My parents also used to say the same thing. Personally, I found it very useful when some urgent expense come or if I am lost or in any kind of unforseen situation, I have found it useful.

I wouldn't say it's very important. But I would say it was important. In case I need to eat out or something. Or find the perfect gift for someone in the odd place. Ideally I don't like to leave the house with less than $5, although I have.

I personally, try not to carry cash because I have a daughter and two grandsons who can smell money and, if I have some, and they ask for it, they're going to get it. Because I have credit cards and a bank debit card I don't need to carry cash. I think that you father wants you to be prepared for anything that can come up while you are out that costs money so that you're not embarassed by not having any.

You should always have some money on you just in case. How much depends on were you live. If you live in a big city you need mugging money to give the mugger so he won't hurt you. I even know people who would carry a mugging wallet with $20 or $50 in it to give the mugger. In the old days, you also needed change for the phone just in case something happens. Now with cell phones it's not so important. If you don't have a cell phone, you need change or a phone card to use the pay phone. For girls, if you live in an area with buses or taxi cabs, you need enough money to get you home if stranded. You never know what will happen. It's best to have a little money in your pocket.
