When you are looking for new discussions to respond to are there any topics which you always avoid? There are two kinds of discussions that I always avoid. The first one is discussions about teeth or dentists. I have a phobia of dentists and I dont want to read about it or write about it, because it makes me feel really bad. The other thing that I avoid is discussions about animal crueltry. I just can't stand reading about it.

Discussions about earnings are a waste of time and energy, so they are one of them. The other is discussions about Islam, which tend to turn into bigotry and racism on the one hand and frantic self-justifications and defensiveness on the other, with the few people who try to be rational and evenhanded get more or less ignored. Politics can be a problem too, especially when it comes down to conservative versus liberals, almost as bad as the Islam discussions. Oh yes, and one other kind, the "God/an angel cured my (insert choice)". Lash

I quite agree with you. I find earning discussions a waste of time and often get deleted. I used to post in the Islam ones but I find that I nothing I say gets through to anyone so I tend to stay away from them now. I have not looked at politics much since the election but it can be quite heated at times so I read them but do not participate so much any more.

Thanks for responding. That sounds familiar. I have written some long replies sometimes, but it is not worth it, if they just get deleted...

Yes! I avoid discussions about religion and politics! Everybody has their own views and ideas reguarding these topics and usually somebody gets offended or angry or hates you, so I will NOT enter into any of these types of topics!

Well, for me, there are actually a couple of different types of Discussions I personally avoid, and refuse to respond back too. A lot of these are either discussions that talk about certain topics I am against due to Religious views, or topics that are Adult or aka Mature Content. Personally I feel that if you do not have this selected as discussions you want to read responses back too, then why should they even offer these as a choice to respond too? I have even had to remove people from my friends list due to the type of discussions they have started, and since I choose to keep from controversial type of discussions this was my Best way to work it as well.

There's only one discussion that I always avoided and that is the one that contains violations although there are some occasions that I really cannot resist in dropping by and say something. Aside from that, I am really avoiding those so I could maximize my earning potential in every posts that I have so it won't be a waste of time anymore.

Some times I do, because I may not be in position to justify my answer. Until I have strong mind, I wont respond to any discussion.

The only disucussions I avoid are discussions revolving around Politics. They almost always turn nasty and I would rather not be involved in that kind of discussion. I am open for any other discussion though.

I mainly avoid those discussions that are liable to get heated, so usually that is the ones that have anything to do with religion or politics. Apart from those I usually answer to any discussions that I like the look of.

I useally try to avoid those discussions that will against mylot admins rules. I try to stay away from the discussions where alot will be fighting for I know that it will get deleted. It's hard weaving in and out of all these discussions not knowing which one is and isn't a trap

I often avoid discussions that are controversial, and could become heated disagreements, like politics and religion. It's very distressing when I express a discreet and personal opinion and got blasted in return for expressing that opinion!

There are two types of discussions which I never take part in and that is religion and politics! I guess those two words stand for themselves! Opinions and views are extreme in these areas so that's why I never take part in them. There's always going to be a good chance that someone will disagree with your views and you will probably receive a negative rating as a result of your views. Give me any other discussion but religion and politics! Andrew

I avoid attending to discussions that i think is against mylot terms of service =) That's a kind of fear inside. There was a post which offers to women to have fun in webcam.I was surprised at first and then i thought it was wrong. Shortly i avoid posts which are demanding too much from other members.

If a person post a one liner asking a question, but they didn't even bother answering it themselves, then I won't either. If I ask a question, I usually have a reason to, becasue I want to talk about something in my own life. It's only fair to share your own story if you want other people to share theirs. I also think the person should aknowledge the people who post. If a discussion has lost of posts, and the discusser never bothered to come back to read and comment, then I'll pass.
