What is the cheapest shipping method using USPS?

United States

I have been with eBay for a while, but I have not shipped that many things. I always use United States Postal Service because it is what I have used my entire life and it is most convenient for me, but I don't usually keep track of the cost. However, now that I am using eBay I am shipping much more and the cost can add up quickly. I live in Hawaii so shipping to the continental United Stated costs more than other states. I heard about shipping at a fixed price but cannot find the cost as USPS.com. What is the cheapest shipping?

You could try USPS flat rate priority but the fact that you live in Hawaii as opposed to the continental US is not what drives up the postage. The USPS rates are based on how far away you are from the buyer based on your zip code. For instance, I'm in Pennsylvania and it would probably cost me more to ship to California than it would cost you.

I do a lot of shipping and I use USPS for it all. I send my stuff priority mail because it needs to get where it is going fast since it is somewhat perishable. Depending on where I am shipping it to using a FLAT RATE box is the cheaper way to go. It is $9.80 for the smaller box and $12.95 for the bigger one. I am not sure if FLAT RATE is available for Hawaii or not. Ok, I went to USPS.com and looked and it looks like you can get Flat Rate in Hawaii. You have to use specific boxes for it though. You can order the boxes for free on the web site and have them sent to your home.
