when we are still in high school, discussions and topics are just easy. i am also a brilliant student when i was in high school. we all know that education is a step by step process. it is just like a ladder. when we reach college, topics and discussions became difficult. so it is advisable that during discussions of your professor, you have to listen attentively and take down notes of those important points being discussed by the professor. never talk to your seatmate during the disussion so that you will not be confuse if ever the professor will conduct an examination or a recitation, it is also advisable to study at home. if you don't understand the discussion, feel free to ask your teacher. i am sure,100% he or she will assist you.just be patient enough and everything will be alright. have a nice day!hope this helps you.

Well, since you have been successful once you know that you are capable of completing university you just need to be disciplined in your studies. I think all of us go through periods where we find it difficult to concentrate on our studies. Realize that oftentimes when we have difficulty concentrating it's because we have other thoughts or worries on our minds. If you are aware that something is bothering you, try to deal with it first, so it won't be getting in the way of your reading and studying. If that is not possible, at least try to set aside a block of time while you try to study. For us to be able to learn and remember we have to be alert and aware. This means that to help you concentrate you need to look after the basics. You need to make sure that you get plenty of rest (I know, most students are chronically sleep deprived as was I!) and plenty of food. I found that while I was in school, fulltime I was hungry constantly. I had more of an appetite while going to school full time that I've ever had and any other point in my life. Make sure that you eat enough and eat foods that are considered protein foods. Foods that are high in protein will help you to battle your hunger and to concentrate on your studies well giving your brain the fueling needs to think better. Try to avoid those quick fix snacks like the chocolate bars and chips. Happy Mylotting!

When I had boring classes in graduate school, I found it effective to take notes like crazy! I had to remain on task if I was writing what was said!

Hi, it is true for most of us. I am now in university and I found that there are too much for us to consider. I have to think about making money online, thinking about career and relationship. But back in high school, there is nothing to think about except studying. And I have a clear goal to enter college. Now, sometimes I just felt lost, don't know which way to go. But the first thing first, I figured out we have to complete the study first, and find something we really want to do. Hope that helps, happy mylotting!

One thing that I found back in my days of studying, was to listen to recorded notes while I slept. You could either read to yourself your notes on a tape recorder, which would be most effective, because you will be studying while you read the notes aloud and record them. Or you could record lectures and listen to those while you sleep. This was more common back in the 80's, but I believe it is still effective today. Good luck to you in your studies and throughout the whole year.
