Well for me it'll be Easter. I always go into town to my daughters place and we paint eggs and have a lot of fun. I usually spent the best part of the day at their place, we have supper together then I come home. I'm about a 3/4 of an hour drive away. Take Care my friend.

That sounds wonderful. For most of my relatives, it's Easter, also. I have dyed eggs most years. Beet juice makes a great pink, different shades depending on how long you leave it. I love to leave it over night. Onions can have yellow or many other colors, but usually yellow and red cabbage makes teal, I know, weird, huh? I hope you have fun painting eggs this Easter. 3/4 hour isn't too bad a drive if the weather is nice. I hope it's nice for you this year. Thanks and take care.

Imbolc for me. "The celebration signals the middle of the season of long nights and anticipates the upcoming season of light. Celebrants make Corn Maidens from corn and wheat. The Maidens are dressed up and placed in a cradle known as a "Bride's Bed". A wand, usually tipped with an acorn or other large seed, is placed in the bed with the Maiden. The Maidens are generally kept year round as a symbol of fertility." Not sure exactly what I will do for it though yet (though it is comming up fast, it's one that is easy to miss because it happens at a funny time )

My birthday is Feb. 1st so that-imbolc and the Goddess Bridgetta (Bridgette, Bridget, Brigget, etc.) are actually not hard for me to forget. In the US, remembering they're all around Ground Hog's Day helps. Corn Maidens, that sounds neat. I hope you do remember and are able to do something for the special day of your beliefs. I love the discussions under pagan, they're used to be many, but now there are few. Thanks and take care.

It was Imbolc (the spring equinox,) for me...next it'll be Beltaine! Then Midsummers, then Harvest, then...my years're so full of celebrations, anymore...it tickles me just to think about it. What do I do? I usually do a small ritual, some prayer, sometimes an oath, and I lay out some good food and drink. I'm hoping to get more into libations and meditation, as time wears on.

Hello Writer! My next Holiday is Easter! I wish there was some reason for the family to get together between New Years and Easter though as it seems such a long stretch of time between seeing my parents as they live an hour and twenty minutes away so we hardly see them! I do hope that they make it up before Easter and then we will go there for the long week-end at Easter! It is always my favorite place to be! ~Heavens~

Probably one of the reasons people invented Marti Gras and St. Pat's days. So there is a reason between now and then to get together. Thanks and take care.

Dear writersedge, For us the next religious holiday after the new year is “The Lantern Festival”in this day we will eat“ Yuanxiao” which is the special food for the Lantern Festival. It is believed that Yuanxiao is named after a palace maid, Yuanxiao, of Emperor Wu Di of the Han Dynasty. Yuanxiao is a kind of sweet dumpling, which is made with sticky rice flour filled with sweet stuffing. And the Festival is named after the famous dumpling. It is very easy to cook - simply dump them in a pot of boiling water for a few minutes - and eaten desert. Most of the time ,the students will go to school after this traditional festival. On the day Lanterns are everywhere. A most interesting tradition is the posting of riddles called 'Lantern Riddles.' Riddles are written on pieces of paper and posted on lanterns or wall. Any one solving the riddle is awarded a prize. It has been quite a long time that I haven't went to that kind of gatherings ,I remember when I was a little kid I went to that the temple which is full of Lanterns and win several prices ...hehe ~~~~~ Molly;-)

We just celebrated the Ostara back in March, so the next celebration with the Beltane. I am not sure what we'll be doing this year as we live in an apartment so bonfires are always out of the question. Generally the lesser sabbats are passed quietly with a good family dinner, working, and so forth. Our larger celebrations generally are the Samhain and Yule. Though, our Ostara was well spent as we also married on the Ostara weekend, and celebrated three years this year. Blessings and Namaste-Anora

I realize I'm late to the discussion, but I thought I'd post anyway. My next holiday will be Oestara on March 21 - the first day of Spring! I'll be celebrating with friends with a ceremony in the evening, but during the day a friend of mine is holding a Spring Clean Swap! Everyone brings items they no longer use or want, then everyone can trade and barter for other people's items. Everything that is not claimed will be taken to local shelters, food banks, etc. I think it's a great idea for the first of Spring! Happiest of holidays for your next holiday!

I did similar for Winter Solstice, a swap. I celebrate Spring Equinox with drumming, meditation and when I go to my friend's we have a Pot Luck, too. I also like to give away extra aloe vera plants, too. Thanks and take care
