Everytime I am sick or have a little problem with my health, I could not avoid thinking and asking if am I being punished. Do you believe that being sick or having a certain dicease is just paying what we have done wrong?

Hi long. You need to be careful with your health, eating healthy foods, trying to don't do nothing that can damage your health. I believe in the Law of Return but not all the time. Some people have fragile health and it doesn't means that they are bad persons. Many times people are paying what they have done wrong in another way. Take care and have a nice day.

Thank you very much for the very wonderful words teka. I know thats what I should do with my health. I am not that particular with foods that I eat even if it made me gain more weight each day thus getting higher posibility for my cholesterol to raise up which could bring more complications. I am also very lazy to do some exercise.

At one time I thought that as well. My daughter was diagnosed with a genetic disease and I blamed it on my actions. But I later realized I am who I am, and I feel I live a pretty good life based on my actions. I came to believe that if I am not perfect that is ok, as well as the fact that we as a society are not perfect, so therefore nothing can be flawless. Now I know, germs are just that, germs, which is why we get ill, and diseases are something we are predispostioned to get.

I agree with you, illnesses or germs are somewhat a destiny too. If we are destined to have it then it will happen. I think its not wise to blame ourselves or anyone else for such health condition.

Regarding health problems I feel it is our neglect towards our bodies which leads to ill health. In a way you have done wrong for body so it has come back as illness. For example we eat junk food, become fat then all ailments like heart problem, diabetes come in.

no i don't want to believe that when i am sick or whenever i am facing an ordeal in life, i am being punished or whatever you may call it. it's all because of the consequences we had done before it happened like for example; you've been sick, then you remember that you were forcing yourself to work lately. but sometimes it's not a fault if we think that maybe we are being punished, letting us know that we must repent for the sins we had done.

I'm sure you've either seen or at least heard about a sick infant at some point in your life. Would a baby have done something so wrong that they would have to pay for it by being sick? Virus' and bacteria are instinctual organisms. They don't think about what they attack, so they can't attack you because they feel you need to be punished. They are opportunistic and settle where they can. On the other hand, as others have stated, you alone are responsible for the state of your health... as such, when you get sick, you could say you are being punished for not keeping yourself in top physical condition. If, however, you get the flu two days after you called work and feigned illness to get an extra day off, that is not punishment for your lie to your boss, it's simply the flu virus found a suitable host.

Many illnesses can not be avoided, unless you lock youself in and room and never interact with other people. Then there are illnesses that could be prevented by a healthy life style. I wouldn't dwell too heavily on the punishment idea. Your sickness may be a result of you actions, but probably isn't punishment for those actions.
