What did you think of the Twilight Books? Should Stephanie Meyer write more? Give me your opinions.... Personally i think that she did a wonderful job, the last book being her best. If she did decide to write more, i would definitely read them.

I read the first one, Twilight. And personally, I thought it was one of the most boring books I have ever read. I almost didn't finish it and I think I will pass on the rest of the series. I thought the main character was really unrealistic, and the whole situation of her changing schools and such to be absurd. I really just didn't care for this novel. I can't imagine why everyone finds it so appealing and I certainly wouldn't want to see the movie.

well it depends on what kind of books you like to read. maybe you just arent into the whole fictional vampire characters. or maybe your not into the love situation. whatever it may be some books are not for everyone.

I love vampire novels, read just about everyone of them I come into contact with from L.J. Smiths young adult series, up through Anne Rice and Laurell K Hamilton and everything in between. And I have just found a few, I don't care for and Twilight is one of them. I just don't happen to think the book was good or the writing was well done. She did have some interesting vampire concepts in there but not enough to save the book for me.

yeah i guess everyone has their own opinion about it. i think that if stephanie was a more experienced writer then the writing in the books would have been a lot better but i think that her writing sure did improve from her first book to the last book in the twilight series.

I definitely know quite a few people who would read anything she wrote. Has there been rumors that she does not plan to write more? That would be surprising to me.

i have heard those rumors too and i hope that they are not true. i would love to read twilight from another characters view like she had started doing when she wrote it from edwards point of view. i would enjoy readying about jacob and renesmee. i would love reading anything that she writes relating to twilight. but aside from twilight...have you read her book "the host" it is amazing. if you havent, i recommend it!

Ok first a disclaimer: I read ALOT, like with other forms of entertainment...I rarely call myself a "fan" of most books. I have favorites, ones I like, and the odd one that's just OK...and then there's the ones I couldn't read (normally really epic ones, in fantasy, for some reason)...and the ones I don't like. The Twilight series is a series I LIKE. I don't love it and I'm not a fan, but I do like them a decent bit. Mostly for how uniquely Ms. Meyer portrays the vampire mythology and how well she can convey emotions in her books. The last one...the last one I wasn't sure I'd like. It seemed like, for the first half of the book...we were in some sort of "twilight zone" (no pun intended) and I wasn't sure I liked the whole deal with Bella's baby and all. MEGA WEIRD...but the other half made it all alright and even good, to me. ...normally, I'm not much for books heavily laden with romance, let alone books centered around them...but it's different enough that I've been looking to add them to my bookshelf.

I went to see the movie before I read the book simply to see what all of the hype was about. I saw nothing impressive about the movie other than how appealing Robert Pattinson is to young teenage girls. On the way home, I stopped and bought the book and frankly, I'm having a hard time getting through it. Based on this book, I don't think that I'd read any of the others.

seeing the movie before reading the books was probably not a good idea. the movie leaves out tons of small parts that complete the story. now when you go to read the book you are going to compare it to the movie and wont be able to create your own mental picture of what you thought it would be like. personally i think you should take the time to read the book the whole way through before making a decision about the other ones.
