We all know what the theory of evolution means. That human beings evolved from monkeys and Adam and Eve was not created. But I have one doubt about this theory. How can you ever teach something as the ultimate truth if it happened thousands of years back? How can anybody make it so sure that the techniques that are used to find the age of a bone are true? I am not contesting the scientific claims regarding the theory that are well established by the well proven methods. But I am questioning claims that occurred thousands of years back when there was nobody to write history.

First there is no Theory of Evolution. Darwin's theory was The Theory of Decent by Natural Selection. The facts that have been amassed in the last one hundred and fifty years that support his theory are so overwhelming as to make any disagreement with it just plane silly,

I don't believe in the Theory of Evolution. If man was created out of a monkey, why doesn't it happen today?

We can't blindly support any scientific findings justbecause it was studied for more than 150 years. There are scientists , even famous ones like Hawkings who change their own thories.

RasputinLK as stated above there is no Theory of Evolution. Evolution is an ongoing and observable process. No one claims that the human species evolved from monkeys. Monkeys, Apes and Humans share a common ancestor but all are representative of the continuing process of evolution. dawon007 of course science is a process that is in a continual state of change. New findings replace or refine old ones. Darwin had no knowledge of genetics but the development of the study of the Genome has only confirmed the amazing insight Darwin had.

that's not really the theory of evolution. the theory doesn't really say men came from monkeys. idiots added that later. it just said that over time life has evolved. if its true or not it doesn't really matter. it has no effect on the bible. Bible only says God created everything, it does not tell how it was done. Maybe it was evolution. No one really knows for sure, only guesses in the wind really.

First of all, we didn't come from monkeys. Humans and monkeys are on two entirely different branches of the evolutionary tree. Our ancestors are the same, after a certain point, but monkeys are not our ancestors. We know evolution occurred by using our knowledge of biology, geology, paleontology, archeology, and a bunch of other scientific disciplines. The following is a link that explains how to date the really, really old fossils: http://science.howstuffworks.com/dinosaur-bone-age.htm . Carbon - 14 dating is used largely for more recent fossils or artifacts. We can also have a good idea of the general age of a fossil by the sedimentary level it's found in.

The theory of evolution by charles darwin cannot be believed fully. Even now scientists could not explain about the evolution of earth. From this we can assume that even the scientists are not confident about their on studies. But i am sure that the information in holy bible about adam and eve are all true. Also the Story said in bible about them is symbolic and is written in a way to understand us about god and sins. So Theory of evolution need not be true.
