I have started some discussions on multiple births and the stress of it all on the mother and such. Do you believe that the extended family really ought to step in at times like that. Some people have parents that don't even get involved with their grandchildrens' lives and I think it is a sad thing. I think that the grandparents should get even more involved in a situation where there is a daughter that just had multiple births under her belt.

In the case of multiple births...especially that poor woman who just gave birth to 8 babies at one time...I do think that family, friends and neighbors should offer assistance to the parents. I know how hard it is to juggle two kids born 22 months apart and I couldn't imagine handling twins, triplets or more without help. I'm very fortunate to have three of my grandchildren living right nextdoor to me so I get to see them every day...which gives my daughter a break. I have another granddaughter down here but she's a young baby and I don't see her much. There are also 4 other grandkids up north who I haven't seen since Sept.
