Do you know how to get fleas off of dogs? I have been giving my dogs everything I can think of from over the counter, which is not working. Now I am looking for some home remedies because my dogs are going crazy as well as myself over this problem.

i use frontline, my mom told me to put salt around the baseboards and stuff, she said that fleas couldn't jump over it - i don't think it worked though. i also tried soap and water in a flat container in my basement - it killed alot of them but you have to put somewhere that the kids and animals can't get into

Advantage from the vet or from the CO-OP...it has always worked for us....i also heard about putting a little bit of lavender extract on their beds helps too...i think.

I have read that Garlic in a dog or cat food is supposed to kill fleas. Check on the internet. I have read that it is good and bad. I'm going to try it on my cat and dog tomorrow.

I recently read that using Dial soap can kill fleas on a dog. I don't know if it works but it is worth a try.

borax in the carpet if you don't have kids. wash everything, vacuum everything 3 or 4 times a day. We use frontline plus and love it- it saved us. Don't bomb- that never worked for us. Just vacuum vacuum vacuum! If you have any outdoor carpet then vacuum that as well.

I love dogs... - I love dogs...
I usually go for sulphur soap for my pet...and based from what my bother in law (a veterinarian by profession)...you need to clean the area from where your dog usually sleeps...Used a disinfectant liquid in cleaning it everyday...

YA FRONTLINE WORKS WELL ON OUR TWO. BUT CHECK YOUR YARD IF IT IS DRY THAT WILL BRING OUT THE FLEAS.

i know this may sound wierd. but i also tried all them flea shampoo's and dips, etc. i got tired of them things not working so i just gave up with them. my dog also had like really dry skin and alot of flakes like dandfruff on her and she was always scratching so one day i just decided to use head and shoulders shampoo on her and now she has barely any fleas, mayb one or 2.
