What are your thoughts or views on "telephone actresses?"

Hahahaha... I tell you, that's hilarious, no offense, just think of the people who go through this discussion and realize that they could have been talking to someone who has grand daughters and nephews while dialing those numbers. I mean, I tell you, that could be possible since it's only the voice that they really need, right? Why don't you go on ahead with that? and similarly since people do say that I really sound good on the phone, refer me to those types of job so that we could earn extra. I think those aren't illegal, I think they are just about the same with the callcenter agents we have or those phone secretaries to remind us with our appointments, right? Hmm.. You just gave me an idea, oh please tell me if ever you come across those jobs on how to apply, at least we won't get to show ourselves while doing that hahahaha else I'd die laughing. Though I haven't really tried calling those numbers, I'm wondering how do the men sound like? I've always thought that these were only open for men to listen in to women, didn't know men also did that? Oh, by the way, the people who work with those are absolutely great in creating the fantasy, though I'm curious if they ever did really feel something while doing their acting on the phone. Plus hey, those calls ain't cheap! hahahaha..

What I think of such people is that they're trying to make a living and if there's people willing to use these services then so be it... I don't use the service but if it paid really well and I could manage my own hours and if I didn't have my current job, then why not? very open-minded even about foolishness!

You could list it as a counselor! I see nothing wrong with it. It is totally confidential, and I have thought of this but I have a teen aged daughter in my house. Can you imagine? lol

I didn't have a clue what the heck the reference to a "Telephone Actress" was about on the homescreen and had to come in to the discussion to find out what it was....I must admit My first impression was wrong,in that I thought maybe it was about laid back screen actresses who were "Phoning in" their performances! (so,Wrong kind of laid back performance then!)I don't have a need for that type of service myself ,but I can certainly see the opportunities for a Sexy voiced "Actress" to make some money!

Hey tess! I say that if you can get a job doing that then why not! I've seen them interview some woman that do that for a living and when you see them they don't look anything like their voices! Not that it should matter since they seem to be able to get their job done!lol I used to have a nice speaking voice and sounded younger too and was told to do something like that too. But, now since I smoked my voice doesn't sound that great anymore! I think you should do it!

Well I dont know much about those kind of numbers because Iv never called them nor have I ever been interested in calling those lines, its just not my thing, I think whats the point of calling those kind of lines anyway, because your probably talking to a guy named vera, LOL, and the whole thing is just going to drive your phone bill through the roof. and as for working for one of those lines well I think its your proactive, but like I said its just not my thing but if your comfortable with it then more power to ya LOL.

I am told that I have a very attractive speaking voice. People who talk to me on the phone for business are always trying to date me until I tell then that I am over 60! No, I would not do anything like this as at all. Something else will come up where you can earn the extra money that you need. Take care my friend. Blessings

I have no idea as far as taxes or anything like that but I do know that it is an excellent way to make money! A friend of mine who used to do it said she was making some thing around $100 a call! Yeah it was actually pretty funny, we used to work together and I was still friends with her so we kept in touch. Shortly after telling me the story about how she made $100 in one call I was talking to another friend of mine who knew her as well and the funniest thing, I convinced him to call the number and talk to her and he thought she was the best girl in the world. It was hilarious because in real life he had never been attracted to her. But I think if you can do it then go for it. It doesn't matter if you are 20 or 80 the "customers" will never know.
