so there i was, trying to construct my "high resolution multi acoustical turbo charged digitally enhanced decibel resonating sound wave super blaster" for sing snap, and i needed a illudium Q36 explosive space modulator. i knew i had another illudium Q36 explosive space modulator, it was just a matter of finding it.......so here we go..........JUNK DRAWERS(i got 7 of them).......SHELVES OR ON FLOORS IN CLOSETS (5 of them) anyways i finally found it in my "junk" box under the kitchen sink. not counting garages, sheds, the front lawn, or anywhere else not normally used for storage, how many JUNK CACHES do you have in your house??? this can include junk drawers. when i say JUNK CACHE, i mean the little gizmos, widgets, whos-its and other little things you NEVER use but don't throw away cuz you know you'll use them some day. among my hidden treasures, VCR pieces, DVD player pieces, pieces of string & rope, springs, clips, clasps, cogs, bands, belts, deconstructed electronics and little jars of doo-hickeys that i know i'll need someday to build my zombie killer robot. so far i've counted 22 JUNK CACHES.......and i live in a one bedroom apartment. how many do you have??? how often do you clean them out only to have them refill with more junk???

Marvin the martian & bugs - Is that my illudium Q36 explosive space modulator?
I have a rather large chest on the front porch that serves that purpose. That's where I encourage unwanted guests to do their smoking too.

My personal junk drawer is in my mind, man! I have clutter in there going back over 30 years and I add to it every second of every day. I never throw any of it out because you just never know when I might need it. For example, if aliens ever come to earth and ask me to tell them the capital of Iceland, the composition of a shark skeleton and the name of Jabba the Hutt's pet in Star Wars or the world will die, then I'm well and truly sorted.

I just looked down my knickers and there's so much random stuff down there I couldn't tell whether I was male or female! In all seriousness, we are planning on retiring and moving to another state within the next year or so ... and the thought of clearing out all the junk caches is DAUNTING. My husband has a garage, a large shed, a big space under the house and a study which has wall to wall computer shelving and crap. We are going to need a very large skip for dumping the lot, seeing as we are both too shy to have a garage sale! I hope you build your zombie killer robot soon ... and if you need anything, I'll check down my knickers again ...

Hey sconi! It's so great to know that I am not the only one who has "junk draws" and "junk closets" and "junk spots"! And it used to be much worse until I did a mad clean out last year where I threw a whole bunch of stuff out! Yes I did a massive throw out of I don't have a clue what! I just know that every now and then I am looking for something that I know I had and now I know I don't! I knew it wouldn't be a good idea to throw things out!

yeah i actually have many, many unofficial junk caches too. like if i find something that looks like it might have fallen off something, like a spring or a screw or something, i'll just throw it in a candle or some other Knick-Knack and hope i can remember where it's at when i finally figure out where it came from.
