Do you know anyone who has one? legacy : something transmitted by or received from an ancestor or predecessor or from the past An example would be the Barrymore family. More than one of them is an actor or actress. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Barrymore I know this sometimes happens with police and firefighters.

Not in my family really.. I know about it on tv and stuff where families who are actors or singers follow in their father/mothers/grandparents footsteps..

No Legacies in my immediate family. My uncle and my aunt and 2 of their 3 kids and their wives are all teachers though.

There is a side of our family where just about everyone is in medicine. Obviously it's not our side though, lol. Funny thing is, my husband's uncle used to be my mom's doctor! Of course that's not how I met my husband, it's just something I learned when I began dating him and mom said how familiar his last name was. His cousin is also a doctor, and another cousin is a pharmacist. They have so much money it's not even funny. One of the cousin's owns a villa in Italy. Yeah, but none of that money ever trickles over to this side of the family, lol.
