Wrong discussion

I have seen some people post in the wrong interest on purpose before several times. I have posted something before and then thought later that it probably would have been better to post it under a different topic of interest. I don't think they actually get deleted though wen they go in the wrong topic.

There is no penalty as such but if a discussion is posted in an interest which is not applicable then maybe it would receive fewer responses. For example, a discussion about cooking placed in the cell-phone interest may not be of interest to those responding on cell-phone discussions therefore it might not earn much in terms of responses.
