Do you find that your nose gets itchy when your hands are full?

It always seem to happen that when I'm holding something with both hands - like 2 heavy shopping bags that I can't put down easily, my nose itches. If somebody says just hold this piece of wood really steady while I fix it to the wall, my nose will itch unbearably. One thing guaranteed to make my nose itch is when I make pastry, which isn't very often, and both hands are gooey. I think it must be a psychological thing. Does this happen to you?

Sometimes my back, or leg, or even my arm will itch when I am carrying something or hold something for someone!

Well, that's a lot worse. You can't even try to itch those on your arm. You have my sympathy!

Yes, you can do that when your arms are up, but not when you're carrying something!

well you can but it depends on how heavy it is and if you can switch it to the other hand for a second. If it's like a bag then I think it's possible, a box probably not!

Hehehe, how positively true lol. It may not itch all day long, but it sure will if your hands are full of something you can't easily put down. (If there isn't a Murphy's Law on this one, there should be!!) Or if your hands are full then that's when you'll need to sneeze, or need a tissue...or the phone in your purse will ring. I also think the intensity of the itch (or whatever) will be more urgent with the more you have in your hands that you CAN'T put down lol. (Hmmmmm, maybe there is something psychological with it hahaha...yet maybe in this case it would be better termed 'psycho-illogical')

It has happened with me before too but I think it's more likely we notice exactly these times because were in a trouble of itch our noses. Whenever we have free hands and our nose gets itchy we itch it automaticly and forget about it.

Yes, I wondered about that, and if it's because you can't itch your nose straight away it, maybe that increases the intensity of the itch.
