Why You "tube"..?

Why youtube was called You"tube"? What's with the tube? can somebody answer me why?:) just wondering. Youtube is for everyone. This is one of the most popular website in the country. The whole world can watch your upload videos. Isn't that Great?:D You can share and show your video clips to everyone who's addicted to Youtube.:D Please Answer me. Just wanna know.thanks in advance people!;)

I always thought it was because "the tube" is an old-school nickname for TV.

The nickname of "the tube" came about because all TV's were made with Cathode Ray Tubes until the invention of LCD screens.

I don't know either, but I do use it a lot. I like the name it is easy to remember. My hubby just said it might be because it is about you. You tube? Either way I do not know for sure it is just a guess.

Yeah a "tube" is a tv. So it's basically saying "You on tv". Just a place where you can post your own material and videos basically :)
