How many of you have the wii fit or have heard of it? I think it is the greatest thing in the world!! It tracks your progress. measures your BMI and your weight. It has yoga, stregthing excersises, areobics, balanceing games. the areobics is great. Your doing excersise but it don't feel like it because you are actually playing a game, but it works your body. Even the balancing games are great because just like the other stuff you are actually working your muscles and body but you don't realize it because you are having fun playing a game. You even set a goal for what you want to achieve and it tracks your everyday progress and where you need more help. It also gives you fitness tips. It is wonderful. It does everything for you except control the food you put in your mouth. Yes, you have to control tht on your own Have you done wii fit? What's your thoughts on it?!

i just got wii fit for valentines day.. i ahev not tried it yet because we have been rearranging our living room and have not had much time at all... but im so excited to try it. i became interested in it because i read somewhere that this lady lost like 70 pounds just because she plays wii fit for an hour everyday,....AMAZING! i think it will be great for me and my hubby.... though i read on yahoo that a lot of people say that it is bad for children because it measures BMI... it said some little girl was overweight and i guess he rparents took offense to that.which i understand from their point of view but at the same time its a game... and you cant really tell a young kid they are overweight becase they grow at different rates and its just different for kids.

70 lbs.! That is amazing! I hope that is true because that is about how long I am on it everyday too. It is just hard to stop once you get started! It also said one of my kids was over weight to and she is a bean pole! I think it is because it goes by your age and she is only 6, but she is really tall and has lots of muscle in her body. I told her it was for that reason too. There is no reason the parents should of took offense to it, unless they already knew there child was over weight Maybe it will be good for them to realize that.

Our office bought one for us and I really enjoyed it for quite sometime. It really worked on me while I was using it. I lose some pounds and you could just see how you are developing. But now I haven't had the chance to use it anymore as there are more employees that are using that and I just could not find time anymore.

Your office bought you one? That is cool! Why did they do that? I am hoping I will lose some pounds from it. I just started it so I hope I don't find it boring in a month and give up

Our boss bought it for the office and said that it would be best that we take advantage of it to shed some fats for those that are going heavy in the office.

wii fit is a game/fitness that you play on your wii system. Yeah I told the kids I got it for them for being so good lately, but really I wanted it Hey it's better than a playstation or anything else that you just sit on your butt to play. This you actually have to get up and move around. I think it is a good invention to get kids off their lazy butts!

Yeah you can't really pay attention to that. Especially when it comes to the kids sizes. I don't think it was ment to weight the kids Thanks for the response!

That would be another good choice, but I don't get much motivation from that.

It is very entertaining! Like I told someone else it's a little expensive, but if you really want to exercise it is cheaper than going to a gym all the time plus you don't even have to leave your house!

I don't have a Wii fit but I know it exists. That is actually one of the purchses that I'm interested in making after I buy myself a Wii. I don't exercise a lot now, the only exercise that I really engage in is walking. I walk everywhere so I guess it's better than nothing, and walking is a good exercise. I just think I'd be more interested in exercise if it was entertaining and if I was having fun doing it.

I didn't excersise much either except for walking. In the winter, like now I can't even do that it is way to cold out for me. The wii fit has made me want to do it everyday and I can actually feel where it is working! If you really were interested in some fun exercise it would be a great purchase, little expensive, but it is still cheaper than going to the gym and this you can do in your own home

I love Wii fit my partner brought this for me last week. I have been doing it for a week now and have lost 1lb. It has also motivated me to get fit. There is some excises that I have not been brave enough to try yet. My children also love playing it as well. The jogging is great practice for my daughter as she runs for our local athletic club. Even my dad who is in his 6os has gone out and brought this after seeing my one.

That is cool your dad went and got one for himself! I love it and yes it is a good motivator! I like that my kids are into it because hopefully it will help them be fit and into sports when they get a little older. Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Not that plus sizes need worry that they're missing out on a prime weight-loss opportunity. Despite its moniker, Wii Fit isn't a total fitness solution, with its included exercises focusing more on improving muscle tone and balance than on cardio and weight loss. What it does offer is a better way to track your weight, body mass index (BMI), and time spent exercising both within the game itself and from any other external activities, giving users a clearer picture of how their health is progressing over time. It's no more going to make you super-fit than Wii Sports is going to make you a tennis pro, but it can provide a strong anchor for a more expansive fitness regime should you have the motivation.

well it has really motivated me! You are right on the it's more improving muscle tone and balance than cardio, but in order to lose weight faster you hae to have the muscle tone to replace the fat. I think it is a great motivator for the plus sizes that don't like to get out there and exercise so I wouldn't say they are missing out on a weight loss opportunity, but surly missing out on a great motivatar! Thanks for the response!!

I've heard of it, but I don't own one, I think they are rather expensive to buy, for me anyway. It sounds like it gives you a workout, probably something good to try. Maybe one of these days, I'll get one...Have a good day

I LOOOOVE my Wii fit. I think it's the best thing to happen to video games in a long time. The thing about it is that as far as a real workout, it's not much. But if you're a couch potato like I am and the Wii gets your bum up and moving, then it's all worth it. I've been using mine since Christmas and have lost about 10 lbs. I'm thrilled with it!

wow that is pretty good. I agree with you that it isn't the greatest compared to a real work out, but like you I can be quite a couch potatoe and this has done wonders for me to get my butt up! I hope I can start losing weight, I have only had mine for about a week now.
