The "Contact" link only gives me the option to post my email address and find out my username or password if forgotten. How do I inform them of this breach please??

When you get the message, it will say MyLot (in the from spot) and UNSUBSCRIBE (in the subject spot) so it's pretty clear. But if you are someone who just glances through and didn't know you might miss it. Your welcome! Isn't it dumb what some folks do for fun or spite?

The reason they are doing this, Kayla, is because they feel that they have a bone to pick with persons that they suspect of reporting them for misbehaviour and thus getting them banned. MyLot is aware of the problem and very concerned. They are doing their utmost to trace these [offenders, trolls, criminals, scumbags, useless wraiths of humanity - choose your epithet!] and to deal with them appropriately.

I hadn't done anything.... much.... but I guess I flew a little too high. I have no idea how they do it but MyLot needs to figure it out in a hurry. Stay low!

How they do it is extremely easy. They don't need to know email addresses, just your username. There are two options on the 'Unsubscribe' dialog. The first is to enter your username and the second is to enter your email address. Either one works and will send an email to the email address that you were obliged to enter when signing up. Unfortunately (unless MyLot have changed the system in the last few hours), ANYONE can enter any valid username and an automated mail will go to that person.

MyLot have altered everything now so that only the user can delete his own account so no more mails will be arriving!

No, the mails do come from MyLot and they are 'authentic' in that they are part of the procedure that MyLot uses when you want to close down your own account. They are automated mails, however, so MyLot are not (in a way) responsible for sending them. As a matter of fact, it would be child's play for anyone here to do it. If anyone receives one (that they didn't generate themselves by going to the Unsubscribe page), they should forward the details to MyLot as TLChimes, says, using the Contact link at the bottom (and choosing 'Other' as the subject).

They won't come any more Grandpa as myLot have fixed it. No-one can delete your account now except yourself!

They aren't fake because we've lost a few to it. They aimed at me because i stood up for someone when someone else was being mean. If you do get one, please report it as soon as you can. Thanks for reading!

I got 4 of them yesterday. But MyLot is really trying to fix the issue so let's hope it doesn't continue. Just be careful and let them know of anything you get that seems out of the normal.

At least you're warned if you do. I was too...sort of, but I wanted to be sure others who weren't aware had a bit of a heads up. If we all share information, the nasty folks can't hurt us as badly.

That's why I went ahead and e-mailed the admin. I wanted them to know that I wasn't doing anything to deserve nastiness (other then reporting bad behaviors) If I have a record of it, it makes it easier to fight. And if people are informed ahead then they are armed at least a bit. I know you've been through a lot. I've read about you in several things since first coming on here. I know you to be tough and that you stand up for others. I think you have a target inked into your back now. Thanks for stopping in.

It's been fixed. MyLot have set it so that only the users can now delete their accounts so no more fake mails will be arriving!

If you play nice and don't yell at the bad creeps that come on here you should be safe. But I wanted everyone to know what is going on if they do get something they didn't ask for themselves.

Thing is, I'm quite happy to play nice and enjoy but I won't stand for any **** either so I'll have to just see what happens x Nice to know there are people who take an interest in looking after everyone x MrsLx

I received and email from MyLot asking to comfirm the delition of my account. I did NOT request it and did not want it. Someone didn't like me standing up for a friend and got mad at me. There are some not nice people playing not nice games.

Mylot received several informative e-mails and is trying to fix this. Thanks for responding!

I've gotten 4 today and the MyLot crew said they've gotten many reports of this and are trying to clear it up.
