ever feel lost or question yourself?

I am lost again in recent days. This usually happens under two condition. One is that I have nothing to do while the other one would be I have too much to deal with. Lately, I have been writing my dissertation and preparing for an examination. I am kind of stuck in the middle, not knowing where to go with my writing. Besides, it seems that my English ability is not good enough for that examination. And a friend accuse me for saying something that I shouldn't have. I don't know. When things mixed up, I began to question myself on whether I am good enough or even whether I am a good person. Those belief I used to believe in suddenly seems not to be that strong. Maybe I just need time to clear things up and find my little faith again. What do you do when you are lost? Hugs from Chrissie.

that happens to me a lot too. if your friend is a true friend they will realize that it was a misunderstanding. if they don't accept that, then they aren't a good friend. in the meantime focus on your dissertation, that is important to your future. even if your enlish is not perfect, you know what you want to say. just say it. you will get it done and you will be okay! :-) i become overwhelmed sometimes too. that just happened to me this week. when that happens, i know eventually it will get better. just pick the most important thing, or just pick something and focus on that one thing until you are ready to deal with the next thing. does that make sense?

You're very welcome. Sometimes it's easy to lose are focus and getted dragged into drama by someone else. Just keep your focus on things that will help improve your life, not friend that are trying to drag you down.

I try to focus on the preparation of examination now. While I have too much to concern, why should I be dragged down by some friend, right?

It totally make sense! When I first received those message from my friend, I was angry. Then later at that night, I feel awful. While I have to deal with my dissertation, this little drama came up to me. It's not that pleasant and I didn't feel like doing anything. Thank you for remind me that I just need to write what I want to say in my dissertation. Thank you very much for that. I guess I was confused because I forgot about that. OK, just get focus myself!

Surely, worry ends when faith begins! Everybody feels lost and confused once in a while and most of the time it is brought about by stress. Take time to unwind and contemplate on your blessings. Wish you all the best in life.

This reminds me of a quote I once saw on a poster. It read: I've gone to find myself. If you should see me before I return - keep me here. LOL Cheer up, we all have such moments. And believe me, after the week I've had yours doesn't sound too bad at all.

Thank you. Things do become better now. I just focus on my examination on 7 March. Just like you said, things doesn't sound too bad at all. I think I should just keep myself where I was.

I will tell you as soon as I find myself. I am also lost but for a long period of time. Since I got back from Holland 3 years ago I am trying to find myself here in my country. But everything seems to go wrong. When i get a job something goes wrong and I quit. This semester I wasn´t paid from my last job and had to stop university. So believe me, there is always someone in worse situation then us, so let´s be happy cause while we are alive there is still hope for us.

Thank you. You do encourage me. You are right. After all, there are always worse case. I should just try to focus on the useful things now. Luckily, I feel much better when my friend was back. May you find yourself soon too. It's tough to live in another country.

We do feel "lost" at times, but looking at the blessing we have, we could find our way back in again. When I'm lost, I feel the different parts of my body, savor their completeness and their being there, touch my hand, my feet, myy ears, my eyes, my nose, then savor the warmth of my bed and then I am back again. I thank God that I'm breathing and normal and have a warm bed to sleep in,. Cheers and happy mylotting.

When I was lost last time, I had a short trip to Macao with my friend. I went to the church and pray, hoping peace come to me. I don't believe any religion myself, but I enjoy being in the church which makes me feel comfortable. It's true that when we have that many things in life which we should be gratitude to, why not just enjoy life? Thank you for your kindness.

I had a friend who once told me I wasn't good enough, that I said something that I hadn't, and that had me worring about myself. That's tough to come back from. Let it go. If you think too much then you bring yourself down. I make a plan for the things I have to deal with. Then I work the plan without worring about it. (try to anyway) I make sure to find "me" time when things are busy so I can detox the crap people add to life. I write to feel better. I hope you find You soon. I know it can be a bit of a task but you'll do fine.

Yeah, that's tough. I had a teacher who did me wrong when I was still in primary school. That issue made me cry for the whole day, for something I haven't done. I think since then I just have people accusing me for something I haven't done. Hatred first and then I question myself. What a logic~ I suppose it's time for me to make a plan too so that I don't have to worry about other things and just keep going.

It feels as if I'm older than the pyramids to tell you this, but it gets a lot better for most people with age. While getting older isn't the most fun ever, I wouldn't be really young again for anything. All that angst took a lot of work to get past, but it's great to be past it. It'll get better, dear. Lean on your friends on the Lot when you need a strong shoulder. We do that for each other all the time, and it really does help. Sometimes it's a lot easier to deal with troubles by e-mail than in person or on the phone.

Thank you for your words. I think the youth just care about too many things. When you care, your emotion is harder to handle. I am always gratitude to have friends been with me. Whenever I feel bad and come here, lots of people tell me something which is valuable and useful to me. Thank you really. I'll be fine soon.

It's never pleasant, when we go through days like that, days when we question ourselves and such. It's not something that we want to go through. One thing that I do is that I write, whether it's a story, or working on my novel, or simply writing down my feelings. It doesn't matter what, I just write about something. It certainly has helped me deal with my feelings, on the days when I'm feeling low, or on the days when I'm questioning myself, and such. Over the years, writing has become my therapy. It hasn't disappointed me yet.

Hey dodo. I think you must be a good writer. Maybe I should just write down everything in my mind so that I can find out what I really care and was thinking. I think all I need is to take things out instead of taking them in. Thank you.

I think that it is part of human nature to have days, or moments in life when we feel lost. That feeling can be triggered by any number of things... never let is make you question whether or not you are a good person. I know that when I have times like this, actually I am currently coming out of one... what I need to do is reconnect to my spirituality. I am not a religious person, and my beliefs are not traditional... but I am very spiritual and when I lose my focus on that I tend to feel lost. At least, once I sit and reflect on why I am feeling this way it boils down to the fact that I let life get me so caught up in doing things that I stopped making time to do what matters. Your English will improve with practice. Your writing will grow with time and patience. You will be able to center yourself and stop feeling lost the moment you believe in yourself. Blessed be~

Yeah, I think the problem is I don't trust myself. My friends always tell me I am excellent in their eyes. The problem is I don't see that in my eyes. I could appear to be confident, but I know I am not. I should probably stop doing things and arrange my thoughts first.

I go through this all the time. I had a bad day yesterday. Having a bad day always causes me to doubt everything and question everything. When I have times like that i usually just write all my feelings down in my journal, sometimes that makes me cry and then I feel better. If that doesnt work I put on my favorite movie or get lost in a couple of episodes of my favorite TV show. Having that feeling sucks and I hope you will find a way out of your rut soon.

Thank you my friend. I just felt awful last night and didn't feel like doing anything. I went to bed 2 hours earlier than usual and then tears came. This morning, when I read all your posts, tears came again. However, I feel better now. Thank you for all your kindness. Have a nice day yourself.
