Men can you cook your own meal in case your wife is not at home?

I am not very fond of cooking, but i am capable of cooking for myself, specially if I am hungry. I also like to try out some unconventional things. When my wife returns and i tell her that i had made XYZ, she says "Oh it is not made that way." Women generally do not like to tryout some non conventional things and they are fixed in their thinking that a particular things ought to be made in a particular way. i always argue that if everything has a set way of making, how come new recipes keep coming up everyday? Some one has to try out some thing new. I never go out and eat when i am alone. i like to cook up something on my own and eat it. It may not taste like my wife's cooking, but it does surely taste different.

Hi mercury, I love to cook very much, my husband says that he can eat anything i cook he loves the food i make, i was in a trip for a month last month and he was by him self during the time , so i am amazed that he did a great job. He finished almost everything in the storage , by him self , easy can foods, easy microwave dishes but still he was able to cook for himself. 2 things made me happy about this situation 1 he can cook for me if i really need to and second he didn't order a lot of pizza when i was away which costs a lot. So i agree men can cook if they really need to, Ah by the way actually men are really good cook, please go ahead and make some research all the best cooks all around the world are men! Why cant you be the next one :) Have a great day!

it is much better to be able to cook for one self. Only thing i found was that there is no control on the quantity. i just can't cook less. As a result I always over eat instead of throwing it. My wife is surprised to see that I have put on weight in her absence.

I know that my husband can cook just fine if I am not there to cook for him. As a matter of fact, we share that responsibility in our house. He likes to fry things alot, and I don't but, at least we offset each other a bit that way. it makes a nice balance. I come from a family where the men can all cook, so, he fits right in with the rest of them.

As long as there's food in the house, or he has the money to buy the food he needs. He can feed himself if he has the tools. He can definitely take care of himself in that aspect.

everyone's recipe is different and have some speciality in it. some people cooks some recipe good and some cook other recipe good.i hope that u have new way of thinking about recipes and making in ur own style. so u only can invent new recipes and can put to u;r wife.someday she can praise u. as a lady i prepare recipes in my style and my husband also knows cooking and he will do it rarely . he feels cooking is ladies duty .as i am indian, in india many men won;t do cooking and they don;t even come to kitchen. and wont do any recipe or even try to do . but when my husband came to kuwait,he learned cooking and now he is perfect in cooking .but he won;t do daily because he feels that cooking is ladies duty as indians beleive.

Good for you. My husband can cook and I really appreciate that he has a good skill to cut the vegetables. It is like an art. I am glad that he can cook, and as well as you, his cooking is different than me. But it's OK. It is better than a husband who doesn't know how to cook at all:) I love China

Good day... Culinary arts is one of the skills I want to acquire. I can cook simple and conventional food, enough to make it through the day but I admire men that can really cook special dishes, food that are extraordinary so to speak. I want to learn how to cook delicious food so I could cook for my wife and my loved ones for a change. Well, it is a work in progress and I hope I can cook fairly well soon enough.

I like to cook for him so he won't go cook when I am home. I think my husband will make noodles or pasta by himself if I am not home, he probably won't go out eat alone.

It is great mercuryman that you like to cook when your wife is away.I wish my husband could cook like you and eat homemade food when i am not at home but he does not like to cook food .Sometimes he will just make ommlette and bread for him in breakfast but nothing more than that.Whenever i am away he always eats out and ends up having bad digestion.I always encourage him to cook something simple and healthy but he says that it is not just his cup of tea.
