Killing your Daughter

I understand in China it is common, the Government restricts a couple to one child and they wish the child to be a boy to carry on the family name and business. I'm pretty sure it's illegal there, but happens anyway. I'm sure there are other places in this world that do this also. Generally women have less value then men.

I don't know if it happens anywhere anymore. I feel that it is wrong and should not be done. I know that i would not be here if it had not been for my mother being born, nor would my brothers or sister. A child whether a girl or boy is to precious to even want to kill.

I know, doesn't this kind of attitude about girls just baffle you?! I think it's horrible that any mother (or father) would even contemplate such insanity! To put more value on a boy than a girl child is nuts! Don't they realize if not for the birth of a girl child that there would be NO future mothers, and therefore no boy children born...and that their civilization would die out eventually?! Sounds like an evil plot from the dark ages. Every child is a gift from God (no matter what 'God' you believe in), and they should be thankful & rejoice that they even got a child. Just my own opinion on it...
