With the growing trend of mineral makeups it can be confusing to choose one. I have bought a few differnet kinds but I can't honestly say that one is bettert than the other. Do you have a mineral makeup that you absolutely love?

I don't wear too much make up and I don't even know what mineral make up is. It sounds more healthy but what is it?

It's supposedly all pure minerals they get from the earth in a powder form. You use a soft brush (like a blush brush) to apply it.

That's interesting. Is it better for the skin that way?

Brand? My favorite brand is handmade! I have a shop on Etsy.com where I sell my handmade stuff, and one day, it occurred to me that people might actually make handmade makeup! So I checked it out and sure enough, there was plenty! So I got some samples from a couple of them, and have been really hooked ever since! Also I have heard Bare Minerals is good, but I haven't tried that, I'm just going to stick with the handmade.

That's a good idea. Are you doing well with that website selling things?

I don't wear much makeup so I really couldn't tell you which is best but, occasionally, I like to look my best. I LOVE the mineral makeups because they're just powder and feel so much better than any cream-type makeup you can put on your face. From what I've noticed, they're all basically the same. They ALL claim to be better than the others, but that's just marketing. You need to find what you like and stick to it. Personally, I like several of the kinds you can buy at places like WalMart, where the prices are SOOOO much cheaper than anywhere else. To save money, I bought a lighter powder and a darker powder. I can mix them up to any shade I want, instead of having 4 or 5 of them sitting around.

That's a great idea. I'll have to do that next time.

I have only used bare minerals and I do like the results. It's easy to apply and seems to last. I just don't wear much makeup since I quit going off to work. Llamas don't care what you look like they only care how you smell.

For now, I love my L'Oreal mineral foundation and my Revlon mineral blush. Judging from their contents (I haven't even gone through half the pot of my L'Oreal yet), I will be using them for a very long time too. In my case, I guess I'm lucky because I haven't had any bad experiences with mineral makeup so far. I am sticking with these two products and would not be trying out any other brands any time soon because I know that they are working very well for me. :)

I'm sure they're less expensive too.

Hi Shar! I use the maybelline brand of mineral foundation. I Like it because it feels so light on your face. I haven't really tried any other brands because I have been pretty happy with it. I guess it would all feel light though. I like the coverage pretty good too.

You have to make sure that it is 100% pure mineral. No talc and other chemicals that aren't supposed to be there if it's mineral. You have to read the ingredients before getting them. I heard that bareminerals work great.

I have tried different brands but so far I still like Bare Minerals the best. I am so happy that we now have a store locally that I can go and see the products before I buy them.
