How Old Is Your Cellphone?

Canada

I got a really nice LG 550 Fusic cellphone a year and a half ago, on a 3 year contract. I'm half way through the contract, and I still really love the phone. I got it free when I signed on for the plan with Bell Canada. So my phone is a year and a half old. How old is yours, and how do you like it?

hello danishcanadian i guess that my cellphone is around a year and a half to two years old. i have a Nokia cellphone from AT&T. and that is how that i wound up with my cellphone is that i also got mine from Bell South, the local telephone company here in town. i was due an upgrade and i was really surprised when that i received my cellphone in the mail, it is a beautiful light pink color. one of my girlfriend's always picks on me carrying around my pink phone, and she got me a pink key chain to match the cellphone. lol she did really well color wise in getting the key chain and the cellphone the same color like that. then not long ago, i was at the mall shopping and i found a mini flashlight key chain, and guess what? the mini flashlight was also light pink. lol btw, what color is your cellphone? thanks for sharing. take care and have a beautiful day today!

Mine is about a year old. I have a 2 year contract on mine, so I only have one year to go! However, my phone wasn't free, though it was a lot cheaper than had I not gotten a contract at all. If I would have done that I would have had to pay full price and I believe it was over $200 just for the phone alone! That's an insane amount of money to pay for one!

I don't doubt that you are right, wiz. I wouldn't have even gotten a new phone in the first place, but my husband wanted my old one for himself. And come next year he'll probably want the one I have now which means I'll have to get a new one for myself. I'd take my old one back, but with the new law in effect I want one that is blue tooth enabled. My previous phone isn't set up for that.

I still think it is a conspiracy lol... that they jack up the price to force a contract on you - so if you don't promise to give the telco money faithfully for 2 years or more, you pay them for their "loss" upfront by way of a higher priced handset.

My husband got me a new one for Christmas. I like this one, it is only the 2nd one I have ever had. This one has the keyboard on it, I just move the phone over and there is the keyboard and it makes it much easier to text with my daughter now. I still need to learn more about the camera on this one but haven't really messed with it. I was also able to get a free ringtone and I picked Rascal Flatts "My Wish For You".

I have a Motorola razr. I got my phone about a year and a half ago maybe a bit more. I actually recieved the phone for my birthday. We have a two year plan for our phones so I'm just about up with my contract. I do like my phone, it's not bad and I'm not the type of person to use a lot of different features with it anyway. However, I wouldn't mind having a phone that has a full keyboard. I really hate having to hit one button three or more times just to get one letter.

my new cellphone - I like sliders more than any other kind of cellphone. And I never buy anything for myself. So this time I did it. I got a new cellphone.
I had a very old( about 5 years ) sony ericson until my daughter gave me her old nokia. It was still old, about 3 years or so, but it was a slider and I like those the best. But last week the screen went and I decided that I - for once - actually buy something for myself. I got this pretty samsung slider and I'm really happy about it. THe downside is because I am not on a plan, neither do I intend to, I had to pay much more for it than if I was in a plan, but hey, I deserve a treat every once in a while :) So in answer to your question: It's a week old, and I love it LOL

My cell is just 3 months old. My not tech savvy and not fond of mobiles. My husband is using his phone from last 4 years, whenever I ask him to buy new he says it's just meant for receiving and giving calls.

Since I bought Samsung on February 14th this year, so my cellphone is no more than 1 month old:) It is a very nice cellphone and I am satisfied with it. I think I will use it for a long time. My previous cellphone has used for 5 years. It still works fine and now it's my backup cellphone:) I love China

Hi friend, I got a NOKIA 6300 about a two weeks ago but before that I am using my ever reliable NOKIA 5110 for ten years. 1998 to 2008. Really durable. If NOKIA would accept it, Im very willing to donate it to the NOKIA cellphone museum.

My cellphone is about one year and a half old. It is Apple iPhone 2G 8GB model (first generation). I have a rule not to change the cellphone until it is at least 2 years old and as I'm very satisfied with the one I'm having now I don't want to change it soon. Actually, I'd like to buy one with the Windows Mobile OS but in the moment I'm too satisfied with this one to buy another one. And yes, I bought it on black market for 390 Euro as it wasn't meant to be sold in Europe...

2 years old, going on 3. I love it very much, although it is not my first cellphone, it is the first one I ever bought. My first 2 cellphones are hand-me-down from my elder sisters. So it really mean something to me. However, I've been thinking of applying a post paid line with a free handset.

I Have a Sony Erickson 610Ki and I have it with me for 1 year and 6 months. Though there maybe a lot of new mobile phones that is out in thew market but I want to keep this phone since it serves it purpose and it has good features. It may look small and sleek but it even contains a 3G technology that is present to most high end phones. If I decide on having a new phone I will still keep this one.

I got a cheap motorolla from boost. I lost three phones within six months. I liked it better when they made them the size of the nextel 550. They make them so small now I can't keep up with them. I do plan to buy a smart phone in the near future I just don't know what brand yet. I will try to get a larger one.
