What do you do with the grease you get when you ground up hamburger?

I remember when I was younger, we would throw grease out our backyard into the grass, once we were done with the hamburger. When it was winter, we'd flush it down the toilet. I can't quite get away with that game, at least not as easily. Here lately, I've been just dumping the grease into our trash. What does everyone else do with it? Is there was a way to repurpose it, or do I even want to bother with that?

To tell you the truth, we cook our dog's food here in our area. Well, perhaps it's only in our family that we do that. We use, the used oil to cook the food for the dogs, in this way, they'll have flavor. Hehehe.. Well, it doesn't really go bad, so we just store it up and slowly use it to cook their food.

I normally wait for it to cool down and pour it in the trash can. A few times I poured it over dog food for a treat for the dog, but that is not something I do very often.
