You say the mouse stops working. What about your keyboard ? Can you alt+tab the game.?

ok so from a technical view of the problem is that your frontside buss speed on you board isnt agreeing with the game. What processor are you using, what is your ram speed, all these will make a large differince if there not all matched.

hi tammuz! well, i am not really sure, but i think you will have to bring it to a professional technician. my husband does that when after all attempts, everything has failed. but of course, to save money, he tries to salvage whatever he can do. but if he can't help it, he goes to the shop. i think the only things that he buys these bog down are mouse, keyboard, and speaker. internally, he waits for the recommendation of a technician. take care! i hope everything will be fine with your computer already. God bless you and happy mylotting! :D

Well...I don't have a husband to run with it and fix it,can i borrow yours(it's only for my computer problem,I swear)?lol I have a friend who worked as a technician a few years ago,he gave me a few ideas about what i should do,what to install...what to check..but the main fear is the motherboard.Although it freezes only when i try logging in or playing the game..so... IF a husband is cheaper than a computer i should try having one of those instead of tormenting myself over a PC.But i fear that i would end up wishing to throw him out of the window sometimes also,so technician sound lovely in emergency cases(for now) :)))))) Thanks and happy mylotting to you also :)

I completely hate it when my computer freezes on me while I am playing the game. I ended up getting a completely different computer to play the game and for a while it stopped freezing, but after a few short months it started freezing again. I didn't dl anything else other than the game so don't think that was it.

I am no computer wiz, but I have had plenty of problems with my computer over the past few months. 1) have you gone in to your control panel and checked the status of your mouse? Sometimes by adjusting the speed, it will start working again. 2) do you have too many programs downloaded on your computer? that can cause lots of memory space loss and make your computer act very slow and on the fritz. 3) have you tried to defrag your computer? if not, that may be the way to go. if you do, i suggest you have everything recent on your computer saved so it isn't lost. anyway, let me know if any of that helps you with your problems. good luck~i know how frustrating it can be!

Yes,it is frustrating..and it is even more frustrating when you pay the game you're trying to play when it freezes lol. My mouse works properly (or so my computer says).I don't have many programs downloaded or installed...i reinstalled windows today and downloaded nothing but a program called driver checker.Defrag would be useless since i just reinstalled windows. But i do have windows on a different partition..if that counts for anything..I didn't format the other partition thou.. I'll try reinstalling the game tomorrow..and maybe format the other partition also, see if that works.I am afraid that this may be a problem with the motherboard, which would suck as hell, but at least I could throw this one out as i was going to earlier today lol. If you don't see me around here for a few weeks,it means that I am working my..well...beep beep off (blushes) to buy another computer.I hope it won't be necessary :)) Thanks for your advices :)

Indeed there can be many reasons why the game freezes... I have a dual core processor 4 gb rams and a 512 mb video card, and still, rarely, sometimes game freezes for me also but not for long, just 2-5 seconds. Also to be noticed that tehre is a huge diference between Wotlk and pre-tbc WoW. Wotlk use way much more resources, details are higher and where there are many players the game can lag... unless you have a high-end PC... Anyway try installing latest drivers of your devices (video card, sound, windows)

I think it's your video card or the compatibility of your memory sticks. Were you getting any errors? Blue screens perhaps? You need to know about the error messages first in order for you to determine what the problem is. But my main bet is it's your video card that's screwing you up.
