A question about mylotting habits

If you are on here and desire to make a certain amount of money on here, and yet one month, or a few days you don't make the amount you want, how does that make you feel? How do you get inspired to discuss things, and how long do you usually stay here on mylot? What things would you recommend to others as ways to boost your earnings here? DO NOT POST REFERRAL LINKS, PLEASE! How many lines do you write for a discussion? How do you write the discussion so as to get more and more visitors? Do you use a catchy title? Do you joke in your discussions? Do you respond to others in hopes they respond to you? What works for you? What earns you more? There are a lot of different ways to go about earning here, and I've noticed people here swear by different things. I want to bring a discussion together in hopes that a lot of people will respond with their own ways of making money. I don't necessarily need an estimate of how much you make a month, but maybe a rating on whether you feel it's good or not. This discussion is ONLY ABOUT MYLOT. So be considerate of that. I hope that you have a wonderful and lovely day mylotting!

Hello SomeCowgirl! It happened to me last month. I want to earn a particular earnings but then I wasn't able to make it. I was 1 dollar to go to reach my goal. But it's ok. If I don't get something, I became more persistent. I guess the best way to earn here is to make a new interesting discussion so that many will response and more responses, more earnings. Another thing is posts with quality and quantity. That's a big factor to earn more here.

I'm sorry you didn't get payout last month, I didn't get payout for January either, if that is what you mean. I think that you are right on how to earn. Posts that are interesting, and that have many responses, as well as a good quantity of and quality towards makes you earn more. I appreciate the response.

I signed up last month and it was too late for me to be able to make payout but I will have no trouble next time because I have already earned above the minimum amount. I am not sure I will always have the time for myLot but any little bit helps so whatever I earn I can see as bonus money.

You signed up only a month ago and have that many posts? Congratulations. I'm not sure how many posts I had after one month but I don't think it was nearly that amount. Glad you've already made payout though and that you see the money as bonus money. I think that's a good way to see it so as to not stress as much! I appreciate the response.

Oh yes it does help when you have a lot to say. I wish I had a lot to say, but some days are better then others. I have crochet supplies of my own and are trying to learn, I guess I've gotten discouraged because I was learning so that I could make a little money but the way the economy is going, I doubt anyone would buy!

It probably has helped a lot that I have a lot to say and that I recently have several days off from work due to the mardi gras holiday. I am almost up to $14 though $4 of that was carried over from last month. I post in between doing other things and when I am home I can do more in a day. I did almost a hundred today just because I was in front of the computer reading and posting in between emails and corchet and eating and everything else, lol.

When I respond to a discussion I try to keep it brief and pack as much into the response as possible. Sometimes I feel I don't write enough and others too much. It depends on the discussion. I do not set goals for myself regarding number of posts or the amount of responses I make to a discussion. I would rather take my time and read before I respond. Some are way to quick with responses and at times I feel they are not truly sure of what they read.

My responding habits change to be honest, one day I might set a goal for myself and other times I won't. The money my fiance and I make here is the money we make and save, we don't have jobs. I take my time and read comments before I respond. I don't like seeing responses that doesn't seem as if they have even read the discussion so I try not to do that to my responders by commenting with something about chicken when they said something about cauliflower, lol.

I used to be here for 5-6 hours everyday and when I was new, I remember I have tried posting 60-75 responses each day and makes me earned like $2 plus also. I am not very active in posting and when I post, it is more on my experiences and my friends experiences...I don't think about catchy title, just whatever will fit it... I guess I am earning more by responding to my friends post. Last year, I earned $30 for like 3-4 months but this time, I am dragging a lot...It will always disappoint me when I work hard and then I will not be able to reach the payout but I will also try to inspire myself like I will get double next time!

Earning possibilities change with the want or time to be on mylot, so I can understand! Inspiration does go a long way as to making the best out of mylot though! I appreciate the response!

I try to make the title catchy in a way that almost anyone who comes by it would know that he/she CAN answer the discussion and it wouldn't take more than a couple of minutes of his/her time :) So I guess I'm trying to make "convenient discussions" :) I don't know how many lines I write, but I try to make sure that I have said "enough". Thanks for the response on my discussion!

"Convenient" discussions are the best way to earn it seems like! Well I am glad that you've responded, I guess the number of lines don't matter as long as you've said "enough" and your discussions / responses/ comments are always clear, so there understandable! I appreciate the response.

I think necessity makes a person works more. When I had money in my purse most times I had not been an active member. Now since my salary had been decreased from Rs 12,000 to Rs 9,000, I am trying my hard to make up some of the money by staying in myLot active as far as possible. I generally doesn't count how many lines I type. I try to type at least four lines per discussions. When I see a person with lots of discussions number in his name, it inspires me. Also, when I met people who had earn more and more money, it inspires me to do better.

The world has gone under economic crisis, so I can understand your need and want to be on here more. I am also inspired with those who have more posts then I do and I strive to have as many posts if not more then them. I appreciate the response.

This is a really good discussion baby and I am sure there are a lot of people on here who have different opinions when it comes to mylot and mylotting habits, and I am sure there are people who desire to make a certain amount and have times where they do not make the amount they desired,I know since I am not on here as much as I used to be I do not make my desired amount but I know it is because we have one computer and we have to share it,and it makes me feel like I need to do more on mylot to try and make more money, and I am not sure how I get inspired I guess the fact that our wedding is so close helps me think of things to discuss to try and make money,I would say that a good way to make money on here is to respond to as many discussions as you possibly can with responses that are at least four to eight lines long, and if you do the same when you write a discussion it also help,I love you with all my heart and soul, have a great day, good luck with all your mylotting goals, and Happy Posting.

Hi there my Cowgirl. i seem to have missed this discussion, but it is never to late for an answer, is it ? Well i think that my way of making money here is really related to my mood on the day at hand, meaning that while there may be days, when i will only respond to discussions, there may also be days when i will only post pictures (even the maximum limit of pictures per day). I don't have any goals set, but it is nice to see that i earn more a day. As a personal note, i try to avoid bad influence topic that would affect me in a negative way - like politics, religion etc, and i also try to start good topics (well at least i do so in the last months, i have had my share of bad topics - from my point of view - in the beginning - but hey, practice makes perfect).
