do you love to be the very FIRST respondent every time ?

I may be the first on thos one, but no, I don't feel like I have to be the first to respopnd to a discussion. I do like to get on the first page if possible, and maybe get a response out of the person who started the discussion! Thanks for the question and have a great day~!

I have to say that I often like to be one of the first. I do sometimes , though, like to read what others have said before I respond because sometimes they raise other points which are worth addressing. My aim is always to give as good an answer as I possibly can, so I sometimes spend longer than I might on answering. By the time I hit the 'Post' button, there are often others who have got there before me. I like to think, though, that the extra time I have given the question will very often earn me 'Best Response'. Whether or not I get Best Response, however, is not really my main aim. If I choose to respond to a discussion, it is usually because I feel that I have something worthwhile to add to it.

I don't usually try to be the first respondent. I like to answer older questions that no one else has answered because I do feel like that helps the person who initially posted, but I don't go out in search of unanswered questions most of the time.

I do not think about this issue very seriously. Although, if by default I am the first respondent to a discussion, it always feel great. However, if I like a discussion, I just share my thoughts, without bothering about my response position.

I definitely want to be the first respondent in a discussion. In fact, I make it a point to visit and stay awhile in the 'no responses' category. I feel that responding first to a discussion gives me some benefits. One, I won't be tempted to read some of the discussion's replies even before posting my own perspective regarding the topic. This way, my own opinion won't be affected or swayed by other's views or comments. Further and just like you mentioned, I feel that I have helped other mylotters somehow by responding to their discussions and keeping it active here in the community. And with regards to discussions which have been created for quite some time already but still got no replies from anyone; I'd be willing to be the first to respond as long as I'm interested in the topic involved or if I have something to contribute to it. In the same manner, I do have a silent prayer that in the coming days, someone or other mylotters would return the favor by going over my profile and reply to some of my unresponded threads which I have created a couple of years ago, if I'm not mistaken.

it doesnt matter to me if i am the first respondent or not, i just love to join discussion and share my opinion. I know our opinions helps a lot here. There are only few times that i am the first respondent. But i always smile when i check my email and i got a message stating "congratulations, you earned best mylot response", hehehe, i think it was like a big reward, . I think i helped a lot and satisfied the person with my response, so i love that. But we all know that we cant always get a best response mark, more and more people here are becoming members and they got good brains. So i am happy i belong to a site where i can share my opinions. If I see a particular topic which Ifind very intersting then I will probably respond immediately but not to be the first responder. Sometimes I am and other times I'm not but that is toatlly irrelevant to me. On one discussion last week I was repondent # 891
