Yesterday, I was taking my kids around to deliver their papers. My oldest son accidentally shut the door on is own fingers! OUCH! After looking at his fingers to make sure he didn't do any serious damage, and after he calmed down from the shock of his own behavior, we all had to laugh because he actually shut the door on his own fingers! So, then, we get home, and as I was shutting the door on the van, I noticed that my seatbelt was sticking out a little, so, I reached down to fix it, and guess what happened, yep, I shut the door on my fingers!! It didn't reallt hurt, but it sure was good entertainment and mad us all laugh reallt hard!! So, can you find humor in situations in which others think that are not funny at all?

Working in a hospital, you have to find humour in inappropriate situations at times to keep your sanity... or maybe you have to have only a loose grip on your sanity to be there in the first place???

ttally agree. I worked in a nursing home for a couple of years, and we had to find humor in things every day. What good did it do us to get upset when a resident spit food at us? None. It was much better to just find the humor as we wore their food!

Hi, not in cases as this. will I find it humorous to laugh. Someone could have gotten seriously hurt. But, in other cases I have laughed.. Not intentionally. I am sorry for your kid and your fingers being hurt! Please take care of yourselves!

I think that the reason we found it humorous was because we weren't seriously hurt!

Yes a lot of times in fact. One thing I noticed here in Singapore is, most people don't really cover their mouths when they cough or sneeze. So there I was one day with my friends riding in a public bus to the mall. The bus was packed, and we were lucky to get a seat. So I got the window, and this friend of mine got the isle. Since it was so crowded, a lot of people where standing, and I remember this young lady who happens to be talking to someone using her handphone, positioned herself just beside my friend. Everything was going smoothly, until she sneezed the crap out of her, not onece, not twice, but three times...and the direct recipient of those snots? Yep my good friend who happens to have shielded me from the attack. Ohh the young lady never did apologize, but that's probably because me and my friends started laughing out loud.

yes, i have funny way of choosing things that make me laugh. check out chelsea lately roundtable discussions in you tube then maybe you'd try to catch her show. that woman is something. i don't know if you've ever met a person who makes you laugh with them just looking at you. they don't look ridiculous but they can double you up in laughter even with the flick of their eyelash.
