You need to have a good camera, not an expensive one. then it takes time and practice. find something you enjoy taking pictures of and learn about that. I enjoy sports action photography. I have taken thousands of photos but I have also studies the game I am going to photograph. In sports Photography the difference between a good shot and a great shot could be a 1/10 of a second in shooting. Some of the best wildlife photographers are trained in Biology not photography. My advice is get a good camera - there are Canons, Nikon and other major brands that you can get for between $100 and $200 that will give your some great pictures.
