I'm not sure I can believe this. window cleaner may look like Kool Aid but it doesn't smell like it or taste like it. Now if they added Kool Aid to the window cleaner it might be a more believable story. CNN is not reporting that it was added just substituted. There has got to be more to this story don't you think?

You hear the Urban Legends of kids drinking bleach and household products, but in all honesty I have never actually known anyone who`s kids have drunk window cleaner or bleach. I think the smell and initial first taste would make them spit it out. The "Childproof" tops on bottles have prob helped prevent many kids from trying bleach/window cleaner. Im sure they might try a taste but would just spit it out as soon as it hit there lips.

Some of these ended up in the hospital so I guess there is something to the story.

Kids will eat just about anything. It may taste bad but that doesn't really bother me. It just doesn't kick in with them and the younger they are, the harder it is for them to distinguish bad tastes and that it just doesn't taste right, or that it's something that they shouldn't be eating. I've seen kids eat things off the floor before and they don't really care. Some kids get into medicine bottles and will swallow half a bottle of asprin before they stop, regardless of the taste.

If this indeed happened then it would surely make the news. I hope nothing bad happened to the children who drank this.

Pat, the stuff has a pretty off-putting smell. I don't hink a child who smell it would ever drink it. Is there blue KoolAid? I don't think I've evr seen it, so a child would not be tempted by the color any more than the smell. There has to be more to it.

It certainly doesn't pass the sniff test. I just don't see how it is possible that the person pouring it into the cups wouldn't have known. You'd think the smell (which is fairly strong) would have been a big clue. I'm not sure this was even an accident and I hope it is investigated thoroughly. Makes me wonder how much insurance this day care has? Just a thought.

From what I read the day care worker bought some items at the store. She "mistakenly" put the car washer fluid in the refrigerator. She thought she was pouring the kids blue Koolaid to drink and it turned out to be the car wash cleaner. I don't buy the story. How stupid can she be?

but usually childrens are prone to take things in their mouth and they dont properly understand still and so every time small childrens just put things in their mouth whatever they get in their hand and that is why we should keep all the things away from them atleast till the age of three. the liquid things, cosmetics any small minor toys and all are harmfull for childrens and we have to be carefull so i think the news you have got is believable.
