Have you ever worn a wig.

I have purchased two wigs in my life time and neither one of them look good on me. I have seen people with wigs on and you wouldn't even know they were wigs. I guess I just don't know how to wear or buy them. The last one I bought I looked like Ike with it on, as in Ike and Tina turner. I hate that thing. Have you ever worn a wig?

Yes, I have worn wigs. I'm a brunette and I got a blonde wig for Christmas when I was a teenager. Wigs were very popular at the time and I wanted to try a different hair color than my natural hair color. As most teenagers do, I wanted to be different. Some people liked it and some didn't. Those who didn't like it said it just looked a little too different. I don't remember what the ones who did like it said. However, I enjoyed it at the time. I sure wouldn't wear it now, though. that wig was short hair. I later got another wig for Chriustmas that was the same color as my natural hair and more people liked it better. It was a long shag, if you know what I mean.

I actually never really thought about it until about a year or so ago..since I got friends that are drag queens, I tried one on one day and loved it..I don't wear one now because I haven't found one cute enough but I love the options they give...you don't really have to mess with your hair. You can just wrap your hair up and put on a wig..I plan on buying a few and just hope that my baby doesn't pull it off in public...

Hi Chevee. I've never worn a wig. I don't think it would be very comfortable. I've see some that look awful on people. But I've also see some that you can't tell they are wigs. I don't think I would like one tho.

My long shag wig I was talking about used to itch my head a lot. I don't know how I stood it at the time. I haven't worn it in years, though.

When I was in high school little short kanekalon wigs were the thing. No one pretended that they were anything but fake and fun. I also have worn clown wigs, and in fact my blue one is the most expensive one I have ever bought.

I wear one, but not for fun. My hair started falling out in my late teens, and by the time I was 23 I was tired of wearing hats. So right now half of my hair is gone, and evidently because of what I have, it will never grow back. So I wear a wig. I get compliments on it all the time. It was inexpensive and no one who doesn't know I have a condition, can tell it is a wig.

Wigs are part of accessories in dressing. Normally when I go for dinner parties I put on wigs and it compliments well with my dressing for the occasion. It is good to put on wigs for a change. It makes me more sophisticated and confident.

Hi, Chevee! Years ago, I went through a stage of wearing wigs quite often, to change the color and style of my hair. I don't really know why I got tired of it. When I had to undergo chemotherapy and the doctors told me I'd go bald, I had a wig made to match my natural hair, and I had to wear it for more than a year. Nobody ever caught on, because it fit properly. That seems to make all the difference -- fit can make or break the style. Now I'm tempted to wear my wig ov=ccasionally, but it remains in its box, on its styrofoam head. Maybe one of these days it won't feel so sad, and I'll wear it on a bad hair day, or when I don't have time to shampoo when I should.

Hi Chevee, When I was a teenager, we used to go the local shops and tried on wigs nd to have a laugh, but I have never bought one or worn one. Hugs. Tamara

I haven't really bought nor worn wigs yet, although I think it'd be cool to wear one just to experience a different look if you want to and it may even cover up my bad hair day perhaps.

I have never worn a wig before. erm I don't like it much I guess. I might be okay with extensions for a change but not a full wig. I don't know why, but I just feel squeamish. I know that most of the time one wouldn't even know if the other is wearing a wig, but I never had the feeling of getting my hair styled with a wig. Have a nice day!

No I have not worn a wig before, but it does not sound like a bad idea, especially since I'm pressed for time, and it takes forever to do my hair, not to mention I live at my job on weekends, and there is even less time to do my hair, besides all the stars are earing them these days and such.

No I don't wear wigs. I just wear my normal hair out or tie it up. People shouldn't be ashamed of there natural hair. When I was a child I played with those fake wigs where you just put it on and off.

i always wanted to because it would be a good way to try out new styles and colors. problem is i have a lot of hair and i tried a wig on once and it didn't fit right because of all my hair. i have seen some people who wore wigs and they looked natural and really good.

I have never purchased a wig. My cousin is a wig maker and I get them for FREE! I love wearing wigs. It gives me a new look. It makes me feel versatile. I can go blonde or black in a second. I can match my hair to my outfit. Also I can go curly or straight. Bangs or no bangs without step foot in a salon. I am very confortable with my natural hair and when people say "I like your hair" I will tell them its a wig because I'm not ashamed of my natural hair. I don't know why people are ashamed/embarrased of wearing wigs. Its just like padded bras. The extra boost is not yours and nobody will know unless you tell them. THANKS CHEVEE FOR POSTING THIS NEW DISCUSSION BECAUSE I THINK ITS TIME FOR ME TO GET A NEW WIG MADE NOW. MAYBE ONE THATS SHORT BECAUSE ITS GETTING HOT. THANKS GIRL
