praying is the way to communicate with the almighty one. Classically, people may think that praying is just memorizing something then thats it. Contemporary people or church goers may think that prayer is just doing your daily chores and making the best of your day not doing bad things. i am the type of person who combines both when i wake up early in the morning i will say a simple prayer thanking that i have a day to live again while ill do it also in work sometimes i will be religiously studying my notes and all other stuff i need to finish before the days ends... Are you also religiously having your prayer habit?

Yes, I do pray daily. It is part of each day, fom awakening to bedtime. As you said, prayer is communication with the Almighty God. How could I go through the day and give Him no thought? He is not only my Father but also my closest friend. I view prayer as talking to God and reading the Bible as God talking to me. It is a two way communication.

Loving these topics, great job btw! :) Anyway, I do pray, everyday. Constantly actually. I don't see prayer as memorizing something from the Bible and saying it over and over. Actually, doesn't God say in the Bible that people who continually say the same thing, over and over again, are fools? Maybe not the exact words, but something like that. My prayer is an ongoing conversation with God. I never lose contact with Him. I don't necesarrily thank Him all the time. I do, of course, thank Him. But it's more than that. I ask for guidance. I ask Him to give me peace and understanding when I'm in a difficult situation. I ask Him to help me remember things. It's funny, but before I became a Christian, I considered this talking to myself. I would talk to myself, ask myself questions, and eventually answers would just pop up, like a lightbulb moment, lol. Anywho, I've figured out that that's just God answering my questions. It's funny how people don't connect the two :P

hi there ;) yeah it's a funny scene if you come to realize that you meant is talking to God but it ends that it's like you're talking to yourself hehe, but actually God is with us everywhere, guide and helps us- just seek for Him, and it's true when we have difficulties and trying to talk to Him a minute something snap or you have an instant action/remedy in that problem- i dunno if you get what i want to say (but i know you can relate to it hehe ) and it's because God is there am experiencing that too, it's such a relief sometimes if you just whisper to Him some thoughts and you feel comfortable and ease right? that you're very secured and nothing can harm you happy myLotting!:) Godabless!0=)

wow, How good is your perspective about praying i hope it would last. By the way i can say God Does not put or say something that is so blatant about being a fool rather maybe it is put into a *** as figures of speech...Eventually, even me i dont advocate those memorizing something but of course i dont go again the church goers who does these. So far so good you have a praying habit i can say..So happy mylotting!!!! May God bless you always....////

I too say a short and simple prayer before getting up from my bed in the morning and another a little elaborate one before going to bed at night. I also say a prayer before eating anything, my way of thanking God for giving me my daily bread. Prayer should come from the heart and not parroted mechanically. It is also good to remember Him throughout the day by taking His name anyway you want. This will help you avoid getting into any kind of mischief and at the same time drive away all evil thoughts from your mind.

I pray to communicate with my God. I worship him, talk to him, repent to him, and ask him things as that is what praying is. I don't make it a daily thing I have to do each day because I don't want it to be a chore like most everything else. It should be special, so I pray whenever I want, in my head out loud, doesn't matter how it is done, it's just talking to God.

Prayer is one natural way of conveying our "Thanks" to our god. It helps in understanding what we want - while praying we pray for some gifts from god. That way it is a good practice to pray which reminds us about what we want and how we need to live to achieve what we want to achieve. Even for a atheist, it would be very advisable to pray Nature (at least he should accept Nature as GOD) which helps him saying his Good will and wish to preserve Nature.

Now i see some other view that praying is not just for christians and muslims. It is also to those who are conveying enormous communications to something that is above or superior to everyone...But i am really curious of how their feeling in praying nature(sun, plant, stone, rain, etc.) amazing is this people really praying and can they tell or justify that they are really happy in doing so. I hope they are.. But anyways in dropping by and wanting to respond in this maybe worthy one...May you always pray for anyones safety then in mylot. Happy myloting...!!!!

hi :) am a born again christian and for me prayers is not about memorizing those "routines" as you've said it's a communication between a Father/parent and his child- conversation wherein you just like talking to a friend- God is so great and wonderful, i don't only pray at night but if ever i got a chance to talk to Him, i do and have a conversation saying my desire and whatever plans he has for me, guidance in everyday travel from our home to office-something like that. It's like having a bonding moment with a friend, companion, Father and he himself our Almighty God. ;) prayer can be short or long as long that it's sincere-comes from the heart and you truly convey what you really want to say to Him, actually it's like an ordinary talks with a friend :)- that's my meaning am just amaze of God's goodness... He is the best!:) happy myLotting! Godabless!0=)

Hi mhayfie! When I wake up in the morning, I pray. I thank God for a good night's sleep and I ask for His guidance for the day. Before I sleep at night, I pray. I thank God for everything that has happened for that day and implore His guidance as I sleep. I also pray for the people I love and care for. When I have to make decisions, I also pray that He helps me make a sound decision.

I was happy with that, that atleast God had reroute this people in our school. When i was in high school i was in a catholic high school and we have the prayer vigil now and then making us now more active to worshiping and singing joys for God. Now, that i am in third year in a university, its also catholic and we even had 4 theology subject with different titles. Happy myloting!!!!

yes, when we were kids my grandmother will lead us in praying the Our Father every night, but we don't do it anymore when we grew older, moved out for college, then my prayers became conversations with God, no matter where i was, no matter what time of the day, whenever there are blessings, i say a simple thank you. when i have problems, i share it and ask for help. one time, i was so depressed about my work and asked for help, the next day or so, i got a call for an interview. i am so happy =) i have proven time and again that prayer really works =) God bless us all. =) it does not matter what religion you have, just continue praying to your God and He will give you what is best for you at the right time =)

I am sure that lots of blessings would come into your way since you have incorporated in your life what it means to love Life through praying. Hey there! I do pray everyday. First I say the prayer "Our Father" and then utter my own prayer to the Lord. I thank him for everything that He gave to me for this day and for the coming days. I ask him to always guide me and my family and love ones and to protect them as well. Have a nice day. God bless!

I do pray, but not daily. When I pray before going to bed, I quite often fall asleep during my prayer. The best time for me to pray is in the morning. I also give God thanks or make a request when a situation has happened.

I have started praying only when my son was about to be delivered. Till then I never ever felt the importance of God and praying God. Not that I am an atheist, but because I used to take it granted that it is the duty of God to take care of his own creation. Realization has come only when I felt a deep desire to communicate to him. www.wealth-in-health.today.com
