Warning: Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health.

I don't smoke because I know it's side effects. People are just too lazy to read the warning. Thinking smoking is cool but it really isn't. 'Nakaka-turn off'. And besides, it is just adding to the pollution. geez. We are already breathing unhealthy air and here are the smokers adding it.

People smoke because they become addicted to the nicotine. Not because they don't know the effects or because they don't read the warnings. They know but the craving is stronger then their knowledge. I know because I smoked for many years. It took a long time of not smoking before the cravings went away.

Maybe the warning is for non smokers who were thinking about starting, so that they won't? I don't think the warning has or would have much effect on those with a 40 a day habit,as those warnings have gotten progressively bigger over time and are now showing the results of smoking related illness in pictures..Some enterprising cynics sell those crushproof opaque plastic cases that'll take a pack of smokes inside so that you don't have to look at the warnings! I remember Bill Hicks (RIP) doing a skit on the different warnings on the packs,choosing to avoid buying those that seemed relevant to him.."Yeah,gimme a couple of packs with the "Low Birth Weight" warning!"

Smoking is not only dangerous to the person's health,but also to others who spare the room with you.I hating people around me smoking,because I could not stand the smell,I fell sick when I smell the smoke.

ha...the warnings.....well as one of our friend said its to keep the govt from nagging and to keep of the lawsuits...in India this is a law to print such a statutory warning in bold and legible font.....so its there on the cig packs...and about the cig smoking...i am a nonsmoker..but i have friends who dosmoke.they actually got in to it due to peer pressure and other tensions...but then the understand the bad effects of smoking coz the are docs..!!!!but the problem they are addicted to smoking...and its very very difficult to stop it..because u have to then visit a rehab center to get that addiction off u..it has very bad withdrawal symptoms....it means these condition which happen when u suddenly stop smoking for example..severe stomach cramps.,dizziness,nausea,convulsions.....so guys its very very bad to stop smoking.. but then u know the saying goes PREVENTION ID BETTER THEN CURE! those who smoke i have a very sincere request.. please be strong and stop smoking... and all the new ppl dont even think of starting it...not even anything called a bend or hukka!

I think the company has made their side clear.bcoz it is upto to people to smoke or not and they r not responsilble.

Being a non smoker that message reinforces me to stick to what I believe in smoking. For the smokers perhaps they are just given a choice to reform their habits but it doesn't really enforce in them since it has become a habit in them that is hard to break. So it remains a warning for them to one day realize that it could endanger them in the future. I think that is the real purpose of that warning. Its like parents telling their children to stop playing but never really stopping them to play. In case they meet accident the next thing they would do is tell their children "I told you so" sermon. We are all adults and for us we knoe what is wrong and what is right it is for you to heed it or not. And one one will ever tell you I told you so when you finally get what the real meaning of that warning is.

I don't smoke. No offense, but I get really pissed when I see people smoke because I am aware of the bad effects it brings to our health. I just wish that they won't ignore that fact.

NO! I never ever learned and tried smoking since I was a kid because I knew even before that you would get NOTHING out of it. A waste of money and if you still continue to do so you're always adding a nail on your coffin every time you smoke. Some people neglected the warning sign (WARNING:) because that's already a part of their lifestyle a bad lifestyle which even our physicians do it. That warning is already taking for granted. Fortunately I don't smoke. But I think people still smoke because they tend to ignore the negative effects of smoking. And that's it.
