Darn Stomach Bug!!

My entire family has been plagued by this stomach bug for well over a week now! It's the strangest thing, because normally stomach bugs only last 24-48 hours, but we've had ours a lot longer than that. None of us really have much of an appetite. My 6 year old son was kept out of school all week until today, and I still didn't feel comfortable sending him, but was also worried about him missing too much.
I was just finally starting to feel better yesterday, but then when I woke up this morning, it was all back!!
Have you been plagued by the stomach bug?

That thought had crossed my mind too, and if it weren't for the fact that I have heard a lot about the stomach flu going around, I'd probably be convinced that it is food poisoning. But my friend who was supposed to visit last weekend cancelled because of this exact bug, she had the same symptoms we all have now... and she's still not quite right and she had it about a week longer than we did. Wonderful, huh?

We had a bug like that a couple of years ago, it was really bad too it just seemed to keep going around my kids for a good couple of weeks. My daughter at the time was just about 1 or so and she had it for 6 days, she was so ill that she ended up in hospital because of dehydration, she lost an awful lot of weight it was awful. There has been a bug going round where I live and it has hit a lot of kids but so far mine seem to have escaped it *touch wood* but they did always get them when they were younger so maybe they are immune to it hehe!! Although saying that, I took my daughter to a mother and toddler group the other day and she came back with the trots and a bug in her hair, nice.

A bug in her hair???
This stomach bug seems to be affecting my hubby the worst. The baby did have it, and threw up a couple times, but other than the vomiting he didn't appear to be real sick. Most of us have just had less of an appetite along with some other minor issues. Me and the kids seem to be on our way to recovery, for now at least.

Maybe you guys ate something to upset your stomachs. Maybe you all should go to the doctor and have it checked out. It might be your water. Sometimes things like this should be taken seriously. We had this kind of thing happen to us and found out it is because of the water we were drinking. We now have mineral water available for everyone. I hope you feel better real soon.

Thankfully no stomach bug here. Sounds rough though. Hope everyone gets over it soon. We are still dealing with a lack of sleep. If that keeps up it wioll only be a matter of time before someone here gets sick.

The stomach bug/flu can last anywhere from 1 to 10 days depending on which virus you have picked up to cause your illness. The bad part is that you can pass this back and forth because the stomach bug is very congatious. And you as mom, will get the crap end of the deal because your cleaning up, and taking care of everyone else. I hope that everyone gets to feeling better. Remember to lysol, lysol, and lysol to fight off as many germs as you can. Good Luck!

I know, that's the part that's killing me. Yesterday I felt great! My appetite was back, I didn't have all the nasty gas and bloating anymore, and I thought finally I'm getting better. Guess what? Today it's back! Luckily not as bad, I still have my appetite, and I'll spare you the details of what I'm actually feeling today, lol.
